MINUTES OF SELECTMEN MEETING – May 7, 2012 5:00 PM

Cindy Saulenas asked why the change in the requirement of the cleaning for the Public Safety Complex. The discussion was tabled to the next Board of Selectmen’s meeting on Monday,
May 14, 2012 when all Selectmen are present.
Jessica briefed the board on requests that were made by the Library Trustees. An air conditioner will be installed and some electrical will need to be update to accommodate it. A programmable thermostat will be purchased and a warning system installed on the sump pump. These items will be funded by a grant given to the library.
The Trustees would like numbers on the amount of fuel used for the past 2 years.
Jessica, Assessors Clerk wanted to let the board know that she is uncomfortable knowing that her budgeted salary increase is additional to the 3% increase that is being budgeted for all other department.
Susan Voudren, Town Clerk requested that her salary be increased due to all the extra state requirements and the additional hours that are needed.
Eric Munson, III requested FEMA for monies to make a deposit on the Vaccum Tanker. The funds should be deposited in the town’s account within 5 days ($65,134.50). The board is requesting that a check be place on the upcoming Warrant for payment. Also, submitted for payment was a receipt from G.A. Campagnari Kitchens for the balance of the cabinets for the Public Safety Complex $3,677.90.
Eric presented an overview from Pittsfield Communications of the budgetary quote for the town’s radios that were approved at the Annual Town Meeting. Some items have not been completed and the board would like those departments to schedule with Pittsfield Communications.
Reviewed the Fiscal 2013 budget sheets for the Budget Hearing on Tuesday, May 8th.
