MINUTES OF SELECTMEN MEETING – January 23, 2012 5:00 PM

The Board of Selectmen accepted the award of the Grant Programs Directorate’s (DHS) FY 2011 Assistance to Firefighters Grant. Application Number EMW-2011-FV-02574 – Fire Department’s Vacum Tanker ($274,250.00). The Town of Tolland is obligated to contribute 5% ($13,712.50). A Special Town Meeting has been scheduled for Monday, February 6th at 6:30 to vote to transfer funds from FREE CASH.
A “Notice of Intent to Abutters” was received for the Forest Cutting scheduled to begin on or about March 1st on the property owned by Wildwood Property Owners Association. The property is located behind the Tolland Public Safety Complex. The Board of Selectmen have requested a letter to be sent from Legal Counsel stating that if any damages incurred by logging trucks to Hartland Road be the responsibility of Wildwood Property Owners Association.
