MINUTES OF SELECTMEN MEETING – January 3, 2012 5:00 PM
Selectmen Present: Eric R. Munson, Jr., Steven DellaGiustina and Thomas Paine
Also Present: Wesley Greene
Wesley asked the Board of Selectmen if the placement of telephone poles at the Transfer Station were to benefit a private property owner. The telephone poles were requested by WMECO through a pole hearing, the pole hearing was on October 17th and the poles were approved by the board. One pole was replaced with a taller pole and one new pole was added to the property.
Wes stated that he had been approached with complaints regarding the property located behind the DPW building, ie. DEP and the posting of a building permit. The board was unsure about the any DEP issues that questions should be addressed to Conservation. Eric, stated that the building permit is posted on the building and is not required by law to have it visible by the street. The building permit was issued for a residential garage.
LaCasse Management is currently maintaining the lawns for the town and will include within the current contract the lawn at the Public Safety Complex.
The board authorized moving the current Police Garage from it’s current location (Transfer Station) over to the Public Safety Complex.
