MINUTES OF SELECTMEN MEETING – November 28, 2011 5:00 PM

Selectmen Present:        Eric R. Munson, Jr. and Steven DellaGiustina

Also Present:    Wayne Carr
                         Edwin Deming


Wayne requested authorization to purchase signs for the Public Safety Complex. Wayne must comply with a new state regulation requiring reflective street signs. The monies will be expended from the DPW budget approximately $2,000.00.

Wayne will discuss with Valerie Bird, Conservation the process of trapping the beavers that are located on Hartland Road. The Tolland DPW has to improve the road condition of Hartland Road to Johnson Road. Wayne is in the process of getting quotes for materials he is estimating approximately $10,000 to $15,000.

Winter Sand will be purchased from Lane Construction and hauled by Mark A. Couch through the state bid.

Wayne will get the large screening plant to auction.

A snow blower will be purchased and located at the Public Safety Complex.

Voted to expend an additional $2,800.00 for the generator at the Public Safety Complex to meet the Sate of Massachusetts emission standards

The Board met with the Southwick Tolland Regional School committee on Wednesday, November 23rd.

The Board of Selectmen will discuss with Chief Munson the detail of work for Officer Deming. The Selectboard approved of Officer Deming to do office work for the Police Department.

The board discussed keys for the Public Safety Complex.

Mike Sullivan will be asked to attend the next Selectmen’s meeting to discuss the items that have been donated and purchased for the Public Safety Complex.

The board will ask the office staff what their space needs are.
