MINUTES OF SELECTMEN MEETING – November 7, 2011 5:45 PM
Selectmen Present: Eric R. Munson, Jr., Steven DellaGiustina and Thomas Paine
Also Present: Wayne Carr
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and accepted.
Wayne gave notice to the board that DPW will need to do some repairs to the end of Hartland Road to Johnson Road.
Wayne wanted the Board of Selectmen to know that he was very pleased with the job that his crew did with the October snow storm.
Steve asked if the Town of Tolland had a policy for town employees to carry firearms, the current policy does not. Wayne stated that he does not have a problem with it. The employee has a license to carry. Tolland’s legal counsel will be asked about liability.
The Board of Selectmen accepted the recommendation of Owners Project Manager, John Verones to purchase a generator for the Public Safety Complex in the amount not to exceed $37,000.
Joanne Duval asked permission to park a small trailer at the Town Hall during the “Scouting for Food”. Permission granted.
