MINUTES OF SELECTMEN MEETING – February 28, 2011 5:00 PM
Selectmen Present: Eric R. Munson, Jr., Steven DellaGiustina and Thomas Paine
Also Present: Finance Committee -Ralph Ledger, Mira Munson, Ted Locke and Cathy Parzych
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and accepted.
The Board of Selectmen voted unanimously to eliminate the Tolland Building Committee.
A letter was received from John MacMillan of Reinhardst Associates with his General Contractors bid recommendation. John MacMillan’s recommended that the contract be awarded to PDS Engineering & Construction, Inc., 107 Old Windsor Road, Bloomfield, CT for a BASE BID AMOUNT of One Million Five Hundred and Ninety-Eight Dollars (1,598,000.00). Recommendation accepted.
The Selectboard voted to have John Verones, Owner’s Project Manager negotiate adding on eaves to the Public Safety Complex.
Wayne Carr will be asked to change the current “run off” on Harvey Mountain Road to be closer to the swamp.
The Board of Selectmen and Finance Committee discussed briefly each department’s Fiscal 2012 budget.
