MINUTES OF SELECTMEN MEETING – May 24, 2010 5:00 PM
Selectmen Present: Eric R. Munson, Jr., Steven DellaGiustina and Thomas Paine
The Board of Selectmen requested that Wayne Carr, Department of Public Works Superintendent attend the Board of Selectmen’s next meeting on June 7th.
The board will be meeting on their summer schedule which is:
June 7th and 21st July 12th and 26th August 9th and 23rd September 13th
Building Inspector will be meeting on the same dates at 4PM or by appointment.
The Board of Selectmen voted unanimously to put the following questions on the June 5th ballot
Shall the Town of Tolland be allowed to exempt from the provisions of proposition two and one-half, so-called, the amounts required to pay for the bond issued for the purpose of a previous Engineering Study, Updating Electrical at the Tolland Highway Garage, 2006 Peterbilt Plow Truck, Electrical to Police Garage, Electrical to Transfer Station, Replacement of Doors at the Tolland Public Library, Replacement of the Furnace at the Tolland Public Library, renovations to the Tolland Town Hall all where done in the Fiscal Year 2006?
Shall the Town of Tolland be allowed to exempt from the provisions of proposition two and one-half, so-called, the amounts required to pay for the bond issued for the purpose of a Volvo Loader L70E purchased in Fiscal 2007?
Shall the Town of Tolland be allowed to exempt from the provisions of proposition two and one-half, so-called, the amounts required to pay for the bond issued for the purpose of a 2008 Ford F550 classis and 250 gallon Mini Pumper with a hale 500GPM pump purchased in Fiscal 2008?
Shall the Town of Tolland be allowed to exempt from the provisions of proposition two and one-half, so-called, the amounts required to pay for the bond issued for the purpose of a 2009 Peterbilt 340 Plow Truck purchased in Fiscal 2009?
The board appointed Janice Greene as Ballot and Talley Clerk.
