MINUTES OF SELECTMEN MEETING – AUGUST 10, 2009 5:00 PM

Also Present: Wayne Carr
The Board of Selectmen opened bid proposals for Debris Monitoring for Storm Damaged Tree and Debris Removal.
An open ended (hourly rate positions) bid was received from
BDR – Beck Disaster Recovery

Orlando, FL 32803
Bid was tabled to Monday, August 24, 2009 which gives Wayne Carr time to clarify hourly rates with BDR.
The condition of Clubhouse Road was discussed with Wayne Carr. Clubhouse Road will be reclaimed and paved from East of the Manager’s house to the top of the hill. The section of Clubhouse Road towards Schoolhouse Road will not be paved as requested by the President of Tunxis Club, Inc. Chapter 90 Project Requests will be submitted for approval after the next Selectmen’s meeting, Monday, August 24, 2009.
Opened bids for the land clearing of the new Tolland Public Safety Complex.
· Gary Pease $27,000.00. Additional $1,040.00 for silt fence.
· Smokey MTN Wood Co. $20,500.00
· C&C Logging to remove all wood, stumps and chips and install silt fence $15,220.00. If chips remain additional $3,500.00.
· John Beckman $10,500.00
· Matthew Putnam $15,000.00
· Richard Panterwehl Land Clearing $17,460 Clearing additional $1,300.00 to install silt fence
· Rockwood Farm, Dan Woodger $10,500.00
Bids taken under advisement, board will await comments from Building Committee.
