MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING – June 2, 2008 5:15 PM
Selectmen Present: Eric R. Munson, Jr., and Steven DellaGiustina
A letter was received from Beverly and Jeffery Parrette asked “how will the townspeople have input to the eventual Request for Proposal (RFP)? The proposals will be opened at a Board of Selectmen’s meeting which is open to the public. The meeting date will be posted within the advertisement of the Request for Bid that will be posted.
The Board met with Joanne Duval to discuss the Transfer Station for Fiscal 09.
· Fiscal 09 permits will be available June 23rd at the Tolland Town Hall and WPOA Office.
· Fiscal 08 permits will expire on Wednesday, July 9th.
· Permit fee will remain at $65 and $5 for additional car.
· Pay as you Throw system will change for Fiscal 09, permit holders will have a choice.
· Continue to purchase the rolls of kitchen sized (14 gal) orange bags and use them as in the past. Green bags are no longer available when the supply runs out, but anyone having green bags may use them until they are gone.
· Purchase Trash tags. Tags are sheets of (5) five stickers. Each tag can be peeled off and stuck to the top of your own (14 gal or less) trash bag. If a bigger bag is thrown away three tags will have to be used. All tags must be stuck on the top of the bag.
Prices are as follows: Green Bags $20/roll while supplies are available
Orange Bags $10/roll
Tags $5/for a sheet of 5
Cash will not be accepted at the Transfer Station.
