MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING – December 11, 2006 5:05 PM
Selectmen Present: Eric R. Munson, Jr., James Deming and Steven DellaGiustina
Minutes of the previous meeting were accepted as read.
The board unanimously approved one tax rate for fiscal 2007.
Jessica Kelmelis, Assessor Clerk informed the board of a request that was made by Nina Green of Colebrook River Road. Nina’s insurance company is requesting a letter stating that her property is not located in a flood plane. Jessica explained that the Town of Tolland does not participate with the FEMA Flood Plane Program.
The Board of Selectmen reviewed and accepting the proposal from Bartlett Tree Experts. The proposal states that the town will not allow the tree service to exceed the estimated amount of $4,950.
Susan Voudren, Town Clerk discussed the process of a “Pole Hearing”.
The Board of Assessors is requesting a copy of the “Land Plan” and Building Permit for the property located on Clubhouse Road owned by The Tunxis Club. The Assistant Building Inspector, Robert Sullivan issued the Building Permit and Eric will get a copy of the Building Permit and locate a copy of the “Land Plan”. Susan Voudren reviewed the minutes of the Planning Board and did not see where the “Land Plan” was approved. The “Land Plan” will need to be approved by The Planning Board.
Susan Voudren requested that the board approve a policy for postings on the website. The board is requesting that only official town business be posted on the Tolland website.
Gloria Gery requested the approval of the board to hold a “Nature of Tolland” event. The board unanimously approved of the event.
Received a letter from Terry Walker of Clubhouse Road notifying the board of damage that occurred to her vehicle while driving on Schoolhouse Road. The board tabled the letter for the next meeting when town counsel will be attending.
The board reviewed a list of projects that was discussed at a Selectmen’s meeting in September. The list has been completed except for the replacement of the guardrails. The guardrails will be addressed in the spring.
