MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING – May 8, 2006 6:15 PM
Selectmen Present: Eric R. Munson, Jr., James Deming and Wesley Greene II
On Wednesday Eric met with Michael Schafer and a water specialist from Huntley Associates. Michael requested that Eric bring a plot plan to locate the well and septic system, the results from the most current water test and any other information on the building. Michael will review all information with his water specialists and contact the board with their findings/recommendation.
A letter was received from Gloria Gery, a member of The Nature of Tolland Committee requesting permission to post notice for the upcoming event. Permission was granted.
Letter received from E. Patrick Storey, Jr. of Lakeview Lane in reference to the condition of Schoolhouse Road. Jim stated that DPW will be working on Schoolhouse Road and addressing the issue next week.
The Selectmen spoke about upcoming paving projects.
They discussed the passing of Thomas Locke our town counsel and the immediate need to hire new counsel. The board decided that in the interim the town would request the services of Attorney Jerome Scully on the recommendation from the town’s of Sandisfield and Lee.
