MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING – November 21, 2005 6:15 PM
Selectmen Present: Eric R. Munson, Jr., James Deming and Wesley D. Greene II
Minutes of the previous meeting were accepted.
The new Zoning by-laws that were voted on November 15th will not be legally binding until reviewed and accepted by the Attorney Generals Office.
A party who is interested in purchasing a tax tile property continues to press the matter through our Attorney Thomas Locke. The Board still feels it is in the best interest of the town to go forward with the auction as original planned and presented to the town.
Selectmen reviewed three (3) applications/resumes for the part time position with DPW. Jim will discuss the applicants with John and set up interviews.
· Received a letter from Cindy Burrall concerning the condition of Clubhouse Road.
· Also, received a letter from The Tolland Public Library Board of Trustees concerning the work that needs to be done (Capital Improvements) and Handicapped Parking at the library
· Chapter 90 request in the amount of $24,000 for the purpose of cutting trees back.
Jim will discuss the above items with John.
Received a letter from The Tolland Public Library Board of Trustees informing the Board of Selectmen that Librarian Jessica Kelmelis has completed all course work and certification requirements established by the Massachusetts Commission on Public Libraries, Congratulations Jessica!
Wesley would like a copy of the Police Officers schedule.
