MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING – September 26, 2005 6:15 PM
Selectmen Present: Eric R. Munson, Jr. and James L. Deming
The Selectmen spoke briefly on the upcoming Special Town Meeting. Eric asked Margaret were the town stands with sending out Fiscal 06 tax bills. Margaret informed the board that the Board of Assessors will be sending out Preliminary tax bills. The Board of Assessors is waiting approval from Boston before going forward with the bills. Before Boston can give us approval the Revaluation appropriation must be satisfied and the results of the override be certify with Boston. The board requested a letter be sent to the Town Clerk reminding her to certify the votes.
The Board discussed seeking new town counsel. Jim will try to meet with Attorney Tom Locke this week.
Margaret informed the Board of an account balance.

No additional spending will be allowed.
Jim mentioned the DPW budgets and how the town would not be able to afford another large deficit. Eric will remind all department heads at the upcoming meeting that they are not able to over spend their budget.
Addition:
Wes asked Margaret if we had to go to another town vote for the highway budget.
Margaret replied that Jim Podolak (DOR) said based on the ATM and the override votes we did not.
