Board of Selectmen
Town of Tolland
MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING – August 29, 2005 6:10 PM
Selectmen Present: Eric R. Munson, Jr., Jim Deming and Wesley Greene, II
John updated the board. John also, informed the board that the new axle truck is scheduled for delivery sometime in December. The repair cost for the grader is approximately $3,000 with 1 week of service time. Funds will be taken from Chapter 90.
Chapter 90 request – replacement of truck motor $12,000
The motor is too small for the roads in Tolland. The Selectmen felt it wasn’t wise to spend money on replacing the motor when it wasn’t broken.
Wes mentioned that the resident of 770 Colebrook River Road spoke to him regarding the run off from the road is ending up in his leach field. Wes asked if the town was responsible for digging out his pond that is now filled with silt. The board will discuss with John repairing the road to avoid the leach field. Eric mentioned that the whole house was built on fill.
The board discussed the Police Department.
The Board of Selectmen chooses not to reappoint Les Eldridge, Assistant Board of Health.
Meeting adjourned 8:00PM
Respectfully submitted,
