MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING – March 7, 2005 6:10 PM


Selectmen Present:             Eric R. Munson, Jr., James Deming, and Wesley D. Greene II

Minutes of previous meeting accepted.


Bob Bitso-

Bob wanted an update on Michael Lodsin of Harvey Mountain Road. Jim Deming replied that the Planning Board has not made any decision on the Special Permit request. The Board of Selectmen will contact Attorney Thomas Locke for an update.


The Board spoke to Dave Barney, Finance Committee Member about important upcoming Finance Committee meetings.


The following fines were adopted formally.~ There were previously no fines in the bylaws.

1.~~~~~ $50 Fine for Junk Cars per day
2.~~~~~ $100 for Noyes Pond Bylaw violations per incident
3.~~~~~ $100 per incident for Commercial Vehicles Posting Bond By-Law


Building Department Fees Established
o       Inspection of Sites to Assure Compliance with submitted Site Plan
Note:~ A new additional inspection
          Approved Fee $40
-       Building Inspector $25
-       Administration Fee $10
-       Travel $5
o       Building Permit for Fences 6 ‘ and taller
o                              Eric replied that a fee has already been set.

o       
Treasurer:~ Recommended Fee Change
o       Increase in fee for Bounced Check from current $25 to $35 to cover actual costs assessed by banks.


Jim Joyce, Planning Board Member – Article that appeared in the Tolland Tattler “New Regulations for site Plan Approval for Building Permits and Special Permits Announced by the Tolland Planning Board” is not something all PB members are in agreement with. The article will be discussed at the next Planning Board meeting.
