MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING - Nov. 1, 2004 6:10 PM
Selectmen Present: Eric R. Munson, JR, Wesley D. Greene II and James Deming
Present: Mr. Hagan, John Panaia, and Susan Voudren
Minutes of previous meeting accepted.
Mr. Hagen asked the Board, when the work will start on Covell Rd. The Selectmen and John Panaia had a detailed discussion with Mr. Hagen about the work that will be done on Covell Road.
John Panaia, DPW Superintendent spoke to the board about having highway equipment put up for bid. The Selectmen want John to get a list of equipment together. The equipment will be advertised in the Tattler and additional newspapers.
Jim Deming informed the board of a PVPC Grant of $5,500. The grant will be for Legal Review of the towns newly written Zoning By-Laws.
At the request of the Town Clerk, the Board voted to appoint Ian McAlister as Election/Worker Ballot & Tally Clerk.
The Board accepted, with regrets, the resignation of long-time Assessor Jackie Bitso effective October 26, 2004.
Jessica Kelmelis unanimously appointed to the Board of Assessors until the April 2005 elections.
Received notification from Massachusetts Department of Revenue "FREE CASH" as of July 1, 2004 for the town to be $84,850.00.
