MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING - JULY 12, 2004 6:00 PM
Selectmen Present: Eric R. Munson, JR, Wesley D. Greene II and James Deming
Present: John Panaia, Lester Walker, Wil Greene and Ted Babbitt
The Board meet at the entrance of Wildwood with Wil Greene, Manager and Ted Babbitt, Chairman of Property Maintenance of Wildwood. Also, present was John Panaia Tolland's DPW Superintendent.
A discussion took place at Beetle Road regarding the replacement of a culvert and reconstruction of the road. At the very least in the fall of 2004 Tolland's DPW Superintendent would replace the existing culvert. Then in the spring of 2005 the project would be completed. John Panaia noted that although he requested several quotes from blacktop firms only one quote was received.
Minutes of previous meeting accepted:
Lester Walker, Officer informed the Board that he received a call from a residence on Burt Hill Road regarding kids riding their bike's on the side of the road up and down an embankment. The resident felt that it was in front of his house and was trying to beautify his property and wanted it to stop. He was also concerned with the liability. Lester was unsure if the resident had any right to stop the kids seeing that it probably was happening on town property lines.
The Selectmen request had the question be forwarded to the town attorney.
Eric Munson Jr., Chairman mentioned to the board that there would be a School Committee meeting with the Southwick Selectmen Monday, July 26th at the Southwick Town Hall at 7PM regarding the Ballot Question (STRSD'S proposed renovations).
Note: Garage/Emergency Complex Committee meeting, Wednesday, July 21st 7PM with David Vattista, Engineering Consultant.
