TOWN OF TOLLAND MINUTES OF PLANNING BOARD

Public Hearing for Special Permit was called to order at 7:05 p.m. by Chairman James Deming.
The Notice of Special Permit Hearing for the application for construction of an addition of a 10' x 20' shed to an existing garage and a 10' x 24' rear deck addition to the same existing garage, requested by Lawrence Jaquillard for Richard Gemme, to be built at 173 Lands End Drive, Map 101, Lot 28, was read by Chairman Deming.
A notice of the hearing was published in the Westfield News, fourteen days before the hearing.
Notices were sent by Certified Mail to all abutters and owners ofland within three hundred (300) feet of the intended additions. Receipts were received from all receipience of the the Certified Mailing.
• No one appeared at the hearing to oppose the application.
The Garage to which the additions will be attached existed before zoning went into effect, making the the lot a pre-existing non-conforming lot. The additions will not shorten the distance to the sideline.
• The Public Hearing was closed at 7:21
A Special Meeting of the Planning Board was called to order by Chairman Deming at 7:22
Old Business:
Lawrence Jaquillard's request for a Special Permit to attach a shed and deck to an existing garage at 173 Lands End Drive, Map 101, Lot 28 was approved unanimously, since the Garage to which the additions will be attached existed before zoning went into effect, making the the lot a pre-existing non-conforming lot, and since the additions will not increase the non-conformity.
• Minutes of Meeting of 11/17/2008 was approved as amended.
As there was no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:21 pm.
