MINUTES OF PLANNING BOARD

Chairman, James Deming, called meeting to order at 7:08 p.m.
Old Business:
Minutes of meeting of May 19, 2008 were approved as written.
New Business:
1. The Board welcomed new member Jeffrey La Casse. Chairman Deming explained that the Board follows Town Meeting Rules, A Practical Handbook of Parliamentary Law.
2. Mail was opened and circulated among the members.
Changes have been made to the Tolland Planning Guide, which will be available for members to review before the next Board meeting.
An application was received from AT&T for a Special Permit for a Telecommunications Facility, consisting of an array of antennas and a 12’ x 20’ equipment shelter on the East Otis Road property leased by Verizon Wireless.
The application was studied and James Deming will request information on the expected decibel level of the new units.
An application was received from the Massachusetts State Police for a Special Permit for a Telecommunications Facility to be added to Verizon Wireless’s Facility on East Otis Road.
i. The State Police Facility will consist of
1. One ten foot onni antenna
2. Two panel antennas
3. One microwave dish
4. A 12’ x 26’ prefabricated equipment shelter
5. A 1000 gallon propane tank
ii. All other setbacks are met.
iii. Questions were raised about the generators required.
iv. A Special Hearing was scheduled for July 21, 2008 at 7:00 p.m., which will precede the regular meeting of the Planning Board.
As there was no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:59 pm.
