Minutes, Conservation Commission, May 25, 2017
Pursuant to Chapter 131, Section 40 MGL, the Tolland Conservation Commission held a public hearing May 25 2017 beginning at 6: PM at Tolland Town Hall, 241 West Granville Rd, Tolland, MA
The matters discussed were those reasonably anticipated by the Chair and published as the agenda.

HEARINGS~
RDA-~Susan Moore, Betsy Clark Gay, Matthew Scharff~of 44, 52 & 58 Porcupine Point Rd. Applicants seek to remove 3 or so dead or damaged trees in the buffer zone of Cranberry Pond. RDA 2017-03 No restrictions. Unanimous decision for a Negative Determination

NOI- David DiRico~of 119 Lands End Drive. Applicant seeks to install a tight tank, replace home, repair seawall and replace a dock. All projects are within the buffer zone of Otis Reservoir. DEP File #WE 306-0070. Approval given for all projects. Straw waddles to be placed between work area and reservoir. Wall to be repaired by hand and not machine. Dumpster for teardown to be placed between house and street as close as possible to house. House, septic and dock are priority before wall. Unanimous vote for approval.

RDA- Lawrence and Sarah Erwich~of 74 Stones Throw. Applicants seek to remove several trees to give access to regrade and excavate and pave a proposed driveway within the buffer zone of Cranberry Pond and an intermittent stream. RDA 2017-04 Unanimous decision for negative determination. Drainage system must be reactivated (cleaned, etc.) before beginning project to prevent street water from washing down construction area or new blacktop. Straw waddles to be placed between work area and house and water. No concern regarding tree removal~
RDA- Michael Bertera of 37 Lakeview Lane.~Applicant seeks to replace an existing dock with a “Y” shaped dock in Otis Reservoir. Will be installed with pads on the bottoms of each post. RDA 2017-05 Unanimous decisions for negative determination. No restriction since plan is for pads to rest on lake bottom.
