Pursuant to Chapter 131, Section 40 MGL, the Tolland Conservation Commission held public hearings December 8, 2015 beginning at 3:00 PM at Tolland Town Hall, 241 West Granville Rd, Tolland, MA
Conservation Commission Members Present: Alan Binder, Valerie Bird, and David Spidal
Others: Albin F. Krupa, Anthony J. Krupa, Susan Moore, Greg Nowell, William M. Lawery , William B Lawery
HEARINGS
Open hearings began at 2:56 PM
- RDA- Anthony J Krupa of 62 Pinewood Drive. Applicant seeks to remove 14 dead and dying trees in buffer zone of Otis reservoir .Unanimous vote was given for a negative determination. RDA 2015-10. Some trees are on multiple stumps and some are in small clumps with only the dead or dying to be removed. Stumps will be ground down in lawn. No impact was suggested.
- RDA- Andrew De Rocca of 63 Chipmunk Crossing. Applicant seeks to remove 11 dead and diseased trees in the buffer zone of Cranberry Pond. Unanimous vote was given for a negative determination. RDA 2015-11. Ten (10) trees are impacted, not 11. Concern was expressed by the commission on one tree which appears very close to or on the boarder. Discussion also focused on three hemlocks, but will be removed. Three (3) trees are to be replaced on side near water with three one inch diameter trees.
- RDA- Brian Fletcher of 68 Woodchuck Hollow. Applicant seeks to remove 10 dead and dying trees in the buffer zone of Cranberry Pond. Unanimous vote was given for a negative determination. RDA 2015-12. Three trees near water are to be replaced with one inch plus diameter native or dogwood trees.
- RDA- Lawry Nominee Trust of 201 + 211 Moreau Rd. Applicant seeks to remove 10 trees in buffer zone of Otis reservoir. Unanimous vote was given for a negative determination. RDA 2015-13. No problems or concerns noted.
