Minutes. Conservation Commission, August 30, 2012
Pursuant to Chapter 131, Section 40 MGL, the Tolland Conservation Commission held public hearings on
August 30, 2012, at Tolland Town Hall, 241 West Granville Rd, Tolland.

HEARINGS
Open Hearings began at 5:35 pm
RDA submitted by John Miller, 82 Porcupine Pt. Applicant seeks to replace house foundation in the buffer zone of Cranbury Pond and remove three trees. The Board voted unanimously to give a Negative Determination, which means this was approved. RDA-2012-009
RDA submitted by Albert Berube, 145 Lands End Drive. Applicant seeks to remove 2 trees in the buffer zone of Otis Reservoir. It was determined that the trees posed a danger and should be removed by a climber.The Board voted unanimously to give a Negative Determination, which means this was approved. RDA-2012-0010
RDA submitted by Richard Andrews, 108 Stones Throw. Applicant seeks to remove a dead tree in the buffer zone of Cranbury Pond. It was determined that the tree posed a danger and should be removed by a climber. The Board voted unanimously to give a Negative Determination, which means this was approved. RDA-2012-0011
RDA submitted by Wayne Carr, DPW. Highway Department seeks to replace culverts on Hartland Rd, Schoolhouse Rd. and New Boston Rd. The Board voted unanimously to give a Negative Determination, which means this was approved. RDA 20012-0012
Amended NOI submitted by Brightridge Solar. Applicant seeks to relocate utility poles in resource area on 1403 New Boston Rd. The Board voted unanimously to approved the amended NOI.
Request for Certificate of Compliance, Saulenas, 83 Pinewood Drive. Garage in riparian zone. Approved
Request for Certificate of Compliance. Applicant WPOA seeks to close out repair of Dam on Cranbury Pond. Approved

New Business Discussion of request from Phil Grannan about the STRAP grant on which he is working to obtain money to repave route 57. More Information needed to make a determination of need for Commission’s involvement/review. Alan will follow-up.
Office hours for September 11 at 12:00 and the meeting is September 27 at 5:30. October office hours will be October. 9 at 12:00 and meeting will be October 18 at 5:30.
