Pursuant to Chapter 131, Section 40 MGL, the Tolland Conservation Commission held public hearings on May 31, 2012, at Tolland Town Hall, 241 West Granville Rd, Tolland. Hearings were opened at 5:36 p.m.
Conservation Commission Members Present: Alan Binder, Valerie Bird, Sue Voudren and David Spidal who was recently appointed to the Conservation Commission by the Board of Selectmen to replace Susan H. Voudren.
Others: Frank Fazi and Pamela Schettini

HEARINGS~
RDA# 2012-004 - WPOA. Applicant seeking to remove several trees in a buffer zone located at the intersection of Meadow and Porcupine Point.
The Board voted unanimously to give a Negative Determination; which means this was approved.
RDA #2012-005 - James Richard and Pamela Schettini - 77 Lakeview Lane. Applicants seek to remove 5 trees and selective pruning of remaining trees in the buffer zone of Otis Reservoir. Alan did a site visit and advised that these trees are either hollow and dead or damaged by storm.
The Board voted unanimously to give a Negative Determination; which means this was approved.
RDA #2012-006 - Jim Crowley 43 Lands End Drive - Applicant seeks to remove a tree in the buffer zone of Otis Reservoir.
It was determined that this tree must be removed by a climber not heavy equipment.
The Board voted unanimously to give a Negative Determination; which means this was approved.
RDA #2012-007 - Frank and Kim Waltman – 74 Porcupine Pt. Applicants seek to remove 3 trees in the buffer zone of Cranberry Pond.
It was determined that these trees must be removed by a climber not heavy equipment
The Board voted unanimously to give a Negative Determination; which means this was approved.
The Hearing Section of the Meeting was closed at 6:08 p.m.
Meeting continued at 6:10 p.m.
New Business – Frank Fazi had some questions for the Conservation Commission.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:20 pm by unanimous vote.
The Commission recognized and thanked Sue Voudren for all her work as a member.~
There being no Old Business the Commission voted unanimously to close the meeting.
