Conservation commission minutes for August 18, 2011
Meeting opened 5:30PM.

RDA submitted by Ann Stone for tree removal in the buffer zone of Cranberry Pond. Applicant was not present. Tree removal was discussed, and it was decided that of the 6 trees requested, only 3 needed to come down. Applicant was given a negative determination on the removal of the 3 trees ageed.
Notice of Intent submitted by Berkshire Engineering for Wildwood Property Owners Association. Applicant seeks replace culvert near interesction of Meadow and Porcupine Rd. Mike Kulig was present to discuss the project. Pam had questions regarding whether the project was creating a new stream crossing, and the delineation of the BVW. DEP comments have not been received as yet, the NOI was continued to next meeting of Sept 22.
Steve Mack from Foresight came inas a courtesy to discuss and explain the dam project and what the next phase will be. Pam requested to see the Order of Conditions previously approved for this project.
Timothy Okeefe ( A Tolland, and Wildwood resident) Mr Okeefe was concerned about the spraying of poison ivy near or in a resource area. The chemicals used were discussed. Valerie Bird discussed this with Audrey Miller, and Mark Stinson at length and it was determined not to be a hazard to man or the environment.
Next meeting date was discussed and determined to be Sept 22 @ 5:30PM.
