Board of Assessors Meeting Minutes

Minutes from February 21 were read and accepted.
Board voted for the mailing of annual forms of list beginning in FY07. Mailing will be at the end of certification, due within 60 days. Every year thereafter will be mailed within January and due by March 1. The hope is that if the form is sent every year, we will get a better response for reval years.
Registry of Deeds now sends us our deeds via an internet download. Information on how to download deeds will be kept within the Registry file.
It was voted to remove the second lot on parcel 101-60. We could find no historical reason why it was being taxed for a potential secondary lot. There are no other cases of taxing on potential lots with in Tolland to the Boards knowledge.
Jessica Kelmelis left the meeting.
Susan Moore and Sue Voudren discussed the three basic proposals on how to value Tunxis waterfront that were received from Chris Keefe at DLS. More questions have come forward and will need to be discussed with DLS before the Board can vote.
