Reviewed November minutes which were not yet typed. Jessica will type and have signed at a later date.
The State owned Land reconciliation was completed, signed and sent to Boston. BLA advised that there might be a small piece of land available for reimbursement as state owned. It is a small piece from a larger Granville Parcel that crosses town border. It was decided by BLA that since it has never been a taxable Tolland parcel, it can not be considered. Deed and map should be sent to Cartographics.
Opened and reviewed mail.
Mr. Smey has been requesting that his name be listed as owner to property on Rivers Road instead of his parents who are deceased. Assessors questioned change as deed was never changed. Jessica spoke with a lawyer who handled the Smey probate. There are affidavits and probate releases listed with the Registry of Deeds which Jessica found online that are proof enough of ownership. Names have been changed in system.
Reviewed and signed five motor vehicle abatements.
Reviewed Mr. Parrette's request for a land value abatement on property on Harvey Mountain Road. The Same abatement was granted in the prior year, FY03. For some reason the change did not carry over to FY04. Abatement has been granted and the changed has been reviewed for FY05.
