Alycelee will be accompanying Vision on ride along inspections.
- Christine Rasmussen approved for manual entry for exemption.
- Lois & Fred Kanter were not eligible for the Residential Exemption last year due to an exemption on a previously owned. They have resubmitted for reconsideration for 2014.
- Board Member Roy now Asst. teaching with the 8th grade Tisbury school students.
- Brief discussion of charges and fees applied to changes of address on the Massachusetts license, now costing $25.
- Kim Lucas is taking Course 1, Sales Comparison Approach, in February 2014.
- Discussion of Asst. Assessor Anne Marie Cywinski surgery date as of February 6. Board is informed that she will be available by phone and laptop.
- Asst. Assessor Anne Marie Cywinski informs the Board that the Nathan Mayhew Center is back on the tax rolls after meeting with Chuck Hughes and Ruben Cronig.
Mr. Hughes informed Anne Marie that they missed the filing date for 3ABC/tax exemption due to lack of notification and invalid mailing address. They are formally requesting a filing extension.
He was questioned by Anne Marie as to whether their State filings are up to date, their response was Not completely. The Annual Report is current with the State and they are working with Vineyard Tax Matters to bring all required filings up to date.
In an email from Mr. Hughes: “Our annual report is current with the Secretary of State and we are working to clear issues with the Attorney General’s office. “
A portion of the lot has been sold to the abutters; Flam.
Sufficient taxes were requested to be escrowed by Attorney Carolyn Flanders at Attorney George Brushes office. CPC just gave funds to the center.
Angela comments that the lack of meeting various filing deadlines may exclude them from any exemptions (Last filing date was 2009).
Angela is concerned with unanswered questions, lack of use, unfiled documents, missed deadlines, new construction, ………..
Board IS concerned about extension of 3ABC deadline (r/e taxes…) due to unaddressed concerns.
The building has been un-habitable, so the center is not in use. Rumors of MVCS family center is intending to occupy.
Anne Marie and Chuck Hughes share an exchange of emails outlining the progress of the Nathan Mayhew Center. July 1st is the deadline to meet exemptions for 2015.
Angela votes no, Roy votes no, Anne Marie’s recommendation agrees that they do not qualify for extension. Request Denied by vote
