Roll Call: Borden, Campbell, Abreau, Lopes, Ritz, Spencer and Dermody present. Meeting opens at 5:30 PM.  Also present was City Engineer Mark Slusarz.

Arthur made made motion to accept minutes of January 45, 2012 meeting, seconded by Manny. All in favor.   

Cont’d.  Special Permit – 228 Berkley St. – 24 unit condo development – submitted by Oscar Squared Inc., Richard Feodoroff.  Need to send recommendation to Municipal Council.
Letter from applicant to Municipal Council requesting to withdraw his petition.
Motion made and seconded to receive and place on file.  

Herbert Street – Roadway Improvement Plan – Return Mylar Deposit ($6,000)
Comments from City Engineer, Conservation Commission and City Planner were read into the record. City Engineer explained that based on his review everything is completed and he recommends releasing monies.
Arthur made motion to release mylar deposit ($6,000) seconded by Michael. All in favor.

MassDOT proposing to make bridge & roadway improvements to Washington St. (Rte 140) over Mill River in Taunton.  Comments & concerns are welcomed.
Correspondence was read from Mass DOT relative to widening the Washington Street Bridge from 2 lanes to 4 lanes.   Discussion took place relative to the heavy traffic and the accidents and even a few fatalities at this location.
Motion made and seconded to send letter with our concerns relative to traffic, accidents and possible widening to only 3 lanes.   

Manny brought up the garage at 350 ½ Winthrop Street for auto repair and if the Planning Board reviews this.    
Note:  This will be on the March 1st agenda for P.B. review and comment.  

Manny asked for an update on the draft letter the Board sent to the Municipal Council relative to proposed landlord ordinance. The secretary informed him the Council has referred this to the Committee on Ordinances.
