PRESENT: Mayor Fixell; Trustees Basher, McGee and McGovern; Village Administrator Blau
ABSENT: Trustees Butler, Hoyt and Zollo
Confirmation of Fire Department Election
Trustee Basher moved, seconded by Trustee McGee to open the Special Meeting.
Trustee Basher moved, seconded by Trustee McGovern that the following resolution be approved. Motion carried, all voting “aye”. Approved: 4-0
BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Tarrytown does hereby confirm the results of the Tarrytown Volunteer Fire Department election for the positions of Fire Chief Eugene Gasparre, First Assistant Fire Chief Domenic Morabito and Second Assistant Fire Chief William Logan II.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the confirmation of the Fire Chiefs shall be subject to the following condition: Prior written authorization shall be obtained from either the Village Administrator or the Village Treasurer, with the exception of emergency work, for any Fire Department purchase or contract with a vendor that has a relationship with any of the Fire Chiefs through employment or a direct family member as defined in the Ethics Code.
Trustee McGovern moved, seconded by Trustee Basher and unanimously carried that the Special Meeting be adjourned at 9:30 a.m.
