Special Meeting No. 2

PRESENT: Mayor Fixell; Trustees Basher, Hoyt, McGee and Zollo; Village Administrator Blau; Village Attorney Shumejda
Confirmation of Fire Department Election
Trustee Basher moved, seconded by Trustee Hoyt to open the Special Meeting.
Trustee Basher moved, seconded by Trustee Hoyt to move into Executive Session to discuss a personnel issue. All ayes.
Trustee Basher moved, seconded by Trustee Zollo to reopen the Special Meeting.
Trustee Basher moved, seconded by Trustee Zollo that the following resolution be approved.
BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Tarrytown does hereby confirm the results of the Tarrytown Volunteer Fire Department election for the position of First Assistant Fire Chief Eugene Gasparre.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Tarrytown does hereby conditionally confirm the results of the Tarrytown Volunteer Fire Department election for the positions of Fire Chief John McGee and Second Assistant Fire Chief Domenic Morabito.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the conditional confirmation shall be effective for a period of thirty-one (31) days through May 9, 2011.
Motion carried, all voting “aye” for the confirmation of Eugene Gasparre as the First Assistant Fire Chief. Motion carried, four ayes and Trustee McGee abstaining for the conditional confirmation of John McGee as Fire Chief and Domenic Morabito as Second Assistant Fire Chief.
Trustee Basher moved, seconded by Trustee Zollo and unanimously carried that the Special Meeting be adjourned at 9:15 a.m.
