PRESENT: Mayor Fixell; Trustees Basher, Hoyt, McGee, McGovern and Zollo; Village Administrator Blau
ABSENT: Trustee Butler
Re-appointment of Members to the Community Opportunity Center Board
Administrator Blau explained that per a 1971 agreement between the Village of Tarrytown and the Community Opportunity Center, the Village has the right to appoint up to one-third of the members of the COC Board. The Village has been making appointments to the Board since that time; however, it has been recommended that the appointment process be more formalized via resolutions so that there is no question as to who has been appointed and when they were appointed. The COC Board members included in the resolution have been appointed by the Board of Trustees and this resolution reappoints them to the COC Board effective today.
Motion by Trustee McGovern, second by Trustee Zollo that the following resolution be approved. Motion carried, all voting “aye”. Approved: 6-0
BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Tarrytown does hereby reappoint Maureen Barbelet, Thomas Basher, Robin Goode, James Hart, Audrey Savage and Donald Whitely to the Board of Directors of the Community Opportunity Center.
Motion by Trustee Hoyt, second by Trustee Basher and unanimously carried that the Special Meeting be adjourned. Meeting was adjourned at 12:55 p.m.
