Special Meeting No. 2
April 9, 2008 7:30 p.m.
PRESENT: Mayor Fixell presiding; Trustees, Butler, Hoyt, McGee, McGovern, and Zollo; Village Administrator McCabe; Village Treasurer Hart; Village Attorney Shumejda; and Village Clerk Booth
ABSENT: Trustee Basher
On the 9th day of April 2008 at 7:30 p.m. in the Municipal Building, 21 Wildey Street, Tarrytown, New York 10591, a special meeting of the Board of Trustees was held. After said meeting was opened by the Mayor the following actions were discussed and acted upon:
PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING THE TENTATIVE OPERATING BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2008-2009
Trustee Hoyt moved, seconded by Trustee McGovern and unanimously carried that the public hearing be opened.
Mayor Fixell questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter. No one appeared.
Trustee McGovern moved, seconded by Trustee McGee, and unanimously carried that the public hearing be continued to the next regular board meeting to be held on April 21, 2008.
RESOLUTION – APPOINTMENT OF ADMINISTRATIVE INTERN – STEPHEN A. MCCABE
Trustee McGovern moved, seconded by Trustee Hoyt and unanimously carried that the following be approved: Approved: 6-0
BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Tarrytown hereby approves the appointment of Stephen A. McCabe as Administrative Intern at an annual salary of $75,000 effective April 14, 2008. Said appointment is subject to all applicable civil service rules and regulations.
AUTHORIZATION TO ERECT TWO DECORATIVE POSTS AT THE WARNER LIBRARY
Trustee Butler moved, seconded by Trustee Hoyt and unanimously carried that the following be approved: Approved: 6-0
BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Tarrytown hereby authorizes the Warner Library to erect two decorative posts for the purpose of posting temporary banners.
A motion was made by Trustee McGovern, seconded by Trustee Hoyt to adjourn the special meeting of the Board of Trustees at 8:00 p.m.
