Regular Meeting
March 19, 2014 8:00 p.m.

PRESENT:        Chairman Perry; Members, Mr. Carr, Mrs. Byrnes and Mr. Mignogna

ABSENT: Ms. Pinckney and Ms. Greenwood

TRILOGY – 107 NORTH BROADWAY

No one appeared.

SWEET GRASS GRILL – 24 MAIN STREET

The Board reviewed plans for the installation of a perpendicular sign in the Main Street Historic District.

Discussion followed.  The Board members requested that the applicant reduce the length of the sign by 10”, the size of the sign to 38” and advised the applicant that the sign cannot exceed 4’ from the building.  The Board asked the applicant to return next month with a new rendering with the changes requested.  

K-BARRE – 15 NORTH BROADWAY

The Board reviewed plans for new window sign in the Broadway Sign District.

Discussion followed.  The Board members requested that the applicant return with a smaller window sign.

PRAINO RESIDENCE – 25 CROTON AVENUE

The Board reviewed plans to install solar panels on the roof.

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.  
No one appeared.

“Praino – 25 Croton Avenue - I have reviewed this application for installation of solar panels on the roof and determined the proposal appears to pose no significant adverse environmental impact.”

Mr. Mignogna moved, seconded by Mrs. Byrnes and unanimously carried to approve the installation of solar panels on the roof at 25 Croton Avenue as shown on the plans received by the Building Department dated January 15, 2014.

KORN RESIDENCE – 66 ROUNDABEND ROAD

The Board reviewed plans to install solar panels on the roof.

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.  
No one appeared.

“Korn – 66 Roundabend Road - I have reviewed this application for installation of solar panels and determined the proposal appears to pose no significant adverse environmental impact.”

Mr. Carr moved, seconded by Mrs. Byrnes and unanimously carried to approve the installation of solar panels on the roof at 66 Roundabend Road as shown on the plans received by the Building Department dated February 26, 2014.

RODRIGUEZ RESIDENCE – 233 BENEDICT AVENUE

The Board reviewed plans of a 6 foot high fence in the rear of the property.

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.  
No one appeared.

“Rodriguez – 233 Benedict Avenue - I have reviewed this application for the installation of a 6 foot high fence in the rear of the property and determined the proposal appears to pose no significant adverse environmental impact.”

Mrs. Byrnes moved, seconded by Mr. Mignogna and unanimously carried to approve a 6 foot high fence in the rear of the property at 233 Benedict Avenue as shown on the plans received by the Building Department dated February 27, 2014.

SPLIT DEVELOPMENT – 10 EMERALD WOODS

The Board reviewed plans for the construction of a new single family residence.  

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.  
No one appeared.

“Split Development – 10 Emerald Woods - I have reviewed this application for construction of a new single family residence and determined the proposal appears to pose no significant adverse environmental impact.”

Mr. Mignogna moved, seconded by Mr. Carr and unanimously carried to approve the construction of a new single family residence at 10 Emerald Woods as shown on the plans received by the Building Department dated February 27, 2014.

MAKAN, DAVINDER/DM EQUITIES OF NY – 200 SHELDON AVENUE

The Board reviewed plans for the construction of a new single family residence.  

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.  
No one appeared.

“Makan, Davinder/DM Equities of NY – 200 Sheldon Avenue - I have reviewed this application for construction of a new single family residence and determined the proposal appears to pose no significant adverse environmental impact.”

Mr. Carr moved, seconded by Mrs. Byrnes and unanimously carried to approve the construction of a new single family residence at 200 Sheldon Avenue as shown on the plans received by the Building Department dated February 28, 2014.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

The approval of the February 19, 2014 minutes to be approved at the April 16, 2014 meeting.
