Regular Meeting
December 18, 2013 8:00 p.m.

PRESENT:        Acting Chairman Carr; Members, Mr. Mignogna, Mrs. Byrnes, Ms. Pinckney and Ms. Greenwood

ABSENT: Mr. Perry

MRS. GREENS NATURAL MARKET – 45 NORTH BROADWAY

The Board reviewed plans to install two new wall signs.

Acting Chairman Carr questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.  
No one appeared.

Mr. Mignogna moved, seconded by Mrs. Byrnes and unanimously carried to approve two new wall signs at 45 North Broadway as shown on the plans received by the Building Department dated November 14, 2013 subject to the elimination of “Tarrytown” on the two signs.

ECO GREEN CLEANERS – 57A NORTH BROADWAY

The Board reviewed plans for a new awning sign and window signage.

Acting Chairman Carr questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.  
No one appeared.

Ms. Greenwood moved, seconded by Mrs. Byrnes and unanimously carried to approve a new awning sign and window signage at 57A North Broadway as shown on the plans received by the Building Department dated October 2, 2013 subject to the elimination of the following:

  • phone number
  • website address
  • free pick up and delivery
  • organic cleaning
  • expert tailoring
EF SCHOOLS – 100 MARYMOUNT AVENUE

Mr. Stephen Yarabek, Landscape Architect, reviewed with the Board plans to remove a 10 foot high chain link fence at the parking lot and replace with a 4 foot high metal rail fence.  

Acting Chairman Carr questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.  
No one appeared.

“EF Schools – 100 Marymount Avenue - I have reviewed this application to remove a 10 foot high chain link fence at the parking lot and replace with a 4 foot high metal rail fence and determined the proposal appears to pose no significant adverse environmental impact.”

Ms. Pinckney moved, seconded by Mrs. Byrnes and unanimously carried to approve the removal of a 10 foot high chain link fence at the parking lot and the installation of a 4 foot high metal rail fence at 100 Marymount Avenue as shown on the plans received by the Building Department dated November 5, 2013.  

WHISPER HILL – WINDLE PARK

Mr. John Annunziata, engineer, reviewed with the Board plans to replace the railroad tie retaining wall with a unilock block wall at the area of Franklin Street.  

Acting Chairman Carr questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.  
No one appeared.

“Whisper Hill – Windle Park - I have reviewed this application to replace railroad tie retaining wall with unilock block at the area of Franklin Street and determined the proposal appears to pose no significant adverse environmental impact.”

Mr. Mignogna moved, seconded by Ms. Greenwood and unanimously carried to approve the replacement of the railroad tie retaining wall with a unilock block wall at the area of Franklin Street as shown on the plans received by the Building Department dated November 18, 2013.

SUSHI THAI – 53 NORTH BROADWAY

The Board reviewed plans to replace existing storefront.  

Acting Chairman Carr questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.  
No one appeared.

“Sushi Thai – 53 North Broadway - I have reviewed this application to replace existing storefront and determined the proposal appears to pose no significant adverse environmental impact.”

Ms. Greenwood moved, seconded by Mr. Mignogna and unanimously carried to approve the replacement of the existing storefront at 53 North Broadway as
shown on the plans received by the Building Department dated November 21, 2013.

O’SHAUGHNESSY RESIDENCE – 110 WILSON PARK DRIVE

The Board reviewed plans to install a new 4 foot high split rail fence with wire mesh backing.  

Acting Chairman Carr questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.  
No one appeared.

“O’Shaughnessy – 110 Wilson Park Drive - I have reviewed this application to install a new 4 foot high split rail fence with mesh backing and determined the proposal appears to pose no significant adverse environmental impact.”

Mr. Mignogna moved, seconded by Ms. Greenwood and unanimously carried to approve the installation of a new 4 foot high split rail fence with wire mesh backing at 110 Wilson Park Drive as shown on the plans received by the Building Department dated November 21, 2013.

JONES RESIDENCE – 15 DEERTRACK LANE

The Board reviewed plans to renovate existing garage into living space.  

Acting Chairman Carr questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.  
No one appeared.

“Jones – 15 Deertrack Lane - I have reviewed this application to renovate existing garage into living space and determined the proposal appears to pose no significant adverse environmental impact.”

Mr. Mignogna moved, seconded by Mrs. Byrnes and unanimously carried to approve the renovation of the existing garage into living space at 15 Deertrack Lane as shown on the plans received by the Building Department dated November 26, 2013.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Ms. Greenwood moved, seconded by Mr. Mignogna and unanimously carried that the minutes of the Architectural Review Board’s October 16, 2013 meeting be approved as submitted.  

The approval of the November 20, 2013 minutes to be approved at the January 15, 2014 meeting.
