PRESENT:        Chairman Perry; Members, Mr. Carr, Mr. Mignogna, Mrs. Byrnes, Ms. Greenwood and Ms. Pinckney

FAMILY YMCA AT TARRYTOWN – 62 MAIN STREET

No one appeared on behalf of the applicant.

NYARADY – 109 SHELDON AVENUE

The Board reviewed plans for a dining room addition and enlarge the 2nd floor to a full story.

Zoning Board Approval received

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.  
No one appeared.

“Nyarady – 109 Sheldon Avenue - I have reviewed this application for a dining room addition and the second floor enlarged to a full story and determined that the proposals appear to pose no significant adverse environmental impact.”

Mr. Mignogna moved, seconded by Mrs. Byrnes and unanimously carried to approve a dining room addition and enlarge the second floor to a full story at 109 Sheldon Avenue as shown on the plans received by the Building Department dated February 16, 2012.

HUDSON HARBOR – 16 RIVERS EDGE DRIVE

The Board reviewed plans for a new wall sign on the “Lookout Building.”

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.  
No one appeared.

Mr. Carr moved, seconded by Ms. Pinckney and unanimously carried to approve a new wall sign on the “Lookout Building” with the lettering; “Lookout South” at 16 Rivers Edge Drive as shown on the plans received by the Building Department dated April 18, 2012.

LEE RESIDENCE – 53 ROUNDABEND ROAD

The Board reviewed plans for the installation of a 6 foot high aluminum fence around the perimeter of the rear yard.

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.  
No one appeared.

“Lee – 53 Roundabend Road - I have reviewed this application for the installation of a 6 foot high aluminum fence around the perimeter of the rear yard and determined that the proposal appears to pose no significant adverse environmental impact.”

Ms. Pinckney moved, seconded by Mr. Carr and unanimously carried to approve the installation of a 6 foot high aluminum fence around the perimeter of the rear yard at 53 Roundabend Road as shown on the plans received by the Building Department dated March 14, 2012.

TEMPLE BETH ABRAHAM – 25 LEROY AVENUE

The Board reviewed plans for the replacement of clerestory windows at the main sanctuary’s south and north facades, four new windows and stucco the exterior of the sanctuary’s west façade and replacement of existing HVAC rooftop unit.

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.  
No one appeared.

“Temple Beth Abraham – 25 Leroy Avenue - I have reviewed this application for replacement windows, stucco exterior at the sanctuary’s west façade and replacement of existing HVAC rooftop units and determined that the proposals appear to pose no significant adverse environmental impact.”

Ms. Greenwood moved, seconded by Mrs. Byrnes and unanimously carried to approve the replacement of clerestory windows at the main sanctuary’s south and north facades, four new windows and stucco the exterior of the sanctuary’s west façade and replacement of existing HVAC rooftop unit at 25 Leroy Avenue as shown on the plans received by the Building Department dated March 20, 2012.

HOLMES RESIDENCE – 106 RIVERVIEW AVENUE

The Board reviewed plans to replace existing chain link fence with a 6 foot high privacy fence.

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.  

Mark Fry, Sleepy Hollow, Marian Ragusa, 32 Independence Street and Kevin and Brian Cooney of 38 Independence Street – Residents had issues with the height of the fence and their views of the Hudson River.

The Board requested that the applicant return next month with possible changes to style and height of the fence.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Mr. Carr moved, seconded by Mrs. Byrnes and unanimously carried that the minutes of the Architectural Review Board’s February 15, 2012 meeting be approved as submitted.  Mr. Perry and Mr. Mignogna abstained.  Motion carried.

Mr. Carr moved, seconded by Mrs. Byrnes and unanimously carried that the minutes of the Architectural Review Board’s/Planning Board’s Special Meeting  March 21, 2012 meeting be approved as submitted.  Motion carried.

Mr. Carr moved, seconded by Ms. Greenwood and unanimously carried that the minutes of the Architectural Review Board’s March 21, 2012 meeting be approved as submitted.  Motion carried.
