Regular Meeting
February 15, 2012 8:00 p.m.

PRESENT:        Acting Chairman Carr; Members, Mrs. Byrnes, Ms. Greenwood and Ms. Pinckney

ABSENT: Mr. Perry and Mr. Mignogna

TARRYTOWN BEAUTIFICATION FOUNDATION – MCKEEL, ELIZABETH AND NEPERAN

The Board reviewed plans for signage on McKeel Avenue, Elizabeth Street and Neperan Road.

Acting Chairman Carr questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.

Ms. Greenwood moved, seconded by Mrs. Byrnes and unanimously carried to approve signage on McKeel Avenue, Elizabeth Street, Neperan Road and South Broadway as shown on the plans received by the Building Department February 1, 2012 subject to the signage at Neperan Road Park to be installed inside the park not on the fence.  

FAMILY YMCA AT TARRYTOWN – 62 MAIN STREET

The Board reviewed plans to install three flag pole signs in the Main Street Historic District.

Discussion followed.  The Board members requested that the applicant return to the ARB in March with revised plans showing the signs on two poles in the front of the building; on both sides of the entrance steps.

THREADS OF LIFE – 2 NORTH BROADWAY

The Board reviewed plans for a new wall sign in the Broadway Sign District.

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.

Ms. Pincklney moved, seconded by Mrs. Byrnes and unanimously carried to approve a new wall sign at 2 North Broadway as shown on the plans received by the Building Department January 12, 2012.

OSAKA HIBACHI & SUSHI – 134 WILDEY STREET

No one appeared on behalf of the applicant.

HACKLEY SCHOOL – 293 BENEDICT AVENUE

The Board reviewed plans for front entrance improvements.

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.

“Hackley School – 293 Benedict Avenue - I have reviewed this application for front entrance improvements and determined that the proposals appear to pose no adverse environmental impact.”

Ms. Greenwood moved, seconded by Ms. Pinckney and unanimously carried to approve front entrance improvements at 293 Benedict Avenue as shown on the plans received by the Building Department January 26, 2012.

CRISCI RESIDENCE – 31 STEPHEN DRIVE

The Board reviewed plans for installation of a 6 foot high privacy fence on the north and south sides of the property.

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.

“Crisci – 31 Stephen Drive - I have reviewed this application for installation of a 6 foot high privacy fence on the north and south side of the property and determined that the proposal appears to pose no adverse environmental impact.”

Ms. Pinckney moved, seconded by Mrs. Byrnes and unanimously carried to approve the installation of a 6 foot high privacy fence on the north and south sides of the property at 31 Stephen Drive as shown on the plans received by the Building Department January 26, 2012.

HUDSON HOMES – 38 MAIN STREET

The Board reviewed plans for a new wall sign and perpendicular sign in the Main Street Historic District.

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.

Ms. Greenwood moved, seconded by Mrs. Byrnes and unanimously carried to approve a new wall sign and perpendicular sign at 38 Main Street as shown on the plans received by the Building Department February 1, 2012.

CVS/PHARMACY – 350 SOUTH BROADWAY

Ms. Lucia Chiocchio, attorney, reviewed with the Board plans for front façade renovation and signage.

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.

“CVS/Pharmacy – 350 South Broadway - I have reviewed this application for front façade renovation and determined that the proposal appears to pose no adverse environmental impact.”

Ms. Greenwood moved, seconded by Mrs. Byrnes and unanimously carried to approve front façade renovation and signage at 350 South Broadway as shown on the plans received by the Building Department January 30, 2012 subject to the elimination of signage on the front windows.

MURPHY RESIDENCE – 20 KALDENBERG PLACE

The Board reviewed plans for window and siding replacement.

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.

“Murphy – 20 Kaldenberg Place - I have reviewed this application for window and siding replacement and determined that the proposals appear to pose no adverse environmental impact.”

Mrs. Byrnes moved, seconded by Ms. Greenwood and unanimously carried to approve window and siding replacement at 20 Kaldenberg Place as shown on the plans received by the Building Department February 3, 2012.  

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Mr. Carr moved, seconded by Mrs. Byrnes and unanimously carried that the minutes of the Architectural Review Board’s January 18, 2012 meeting be approved as submitted.  Mr. Mignogna abstained.  Motion carried.
