PRESENT:        Chairman Perry; Members, Mr. Carr, Mr. Mignogna

ABSENT: Mrs. Byrnes, Ms. Greenwood and Ms. Pinckney

JERIS RESIDENCE – 17 BAYLIS COURT

Application held over pending Zoning Board Approval.

62 MAIN STREET – FAMILY YMCA AT TARRYTOWN

The Board reviewed plans to install a 4 foot high black wrought iron fence.

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.

“Family YMCA at Tarrytown – 62 Main Street - I have reviewed this application to install a 4 foot high black wrought iron fence and determined the proposal appears to pose no significant adverse environmental impact.”

Mr. Carr moved, seconded by Mr. Mignogna and unanimously carried to approve the installation of a 4 foot high black wrought iron fence at 62 Main Street as shown on the plans received by the Building Department August 20, 2010.  The Board’s recommendation is to have the YMCA install a 6 foot high fence along the property line abutting 8 Windle Park.

19 MAIN STREET – MINT PREMIUM FOODS

The Board reviewed plans for front façade change.

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.

“Mint Premium Foods – 19 Main Street - I have reviewed this application for front façade changes and determined the proposals appear to pose no significant adverse environmental impacts.”

Mr. Mignogna moved, seconded by Mr. Carr and unanimously carried to approve front façade changes at 19 Main Street as shown on the plans received by the Building Department October 11, 2011.

39 STEPHEN DRIVE – CORIO RESIDENCE

The Board reviewed plans to install driveway pavers.

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.

“Corio – 39 Stephen Drive - I have reviewed this application to install driveway pavers and determined that the proposal appears to pose no adverse environmental impact.”

Mr. Mignogna moved, seconded by Mr. Carr and unanimously carried to approve the installation of driveway pavers at 39 Stephen Drive as shown on the plans received by the Building Department October 11, 2011.  

65 HAMILTON PLACE – CROFT REISENCE

The Board reviewed plans for installation of (2) 2 ½’ high retaining walls.

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.

“Croft – 65 Hamilton Place - I have reviewed this application for the installation of two 2-1/2 ft. high retaining walls and determined that the proposal appears to pose no adverse environmental impact.”

Mr. Carr moved, seconded by Mr. Mignogna and unanimously carried to approve the installation of (2) 2 ½’ high retaining walls at 65 Hamilton Place as shown on the plans received by the Building Department September 19, 2011.

174 GUNPOWDER LANE – SCENNA RESIDENCE

The Board reviewed plans for installation of a generator.

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.

“Scenna – 174 Gunpowder Lane - I have reviewed this application to install a generator and determined that the proposal appears to pose no adverse environmental impact.”

Mr. Mignogna moved, seconded by Mr. Carr and unanimously carried to approve the installation of a generator at 174 Gunpowder Lane as shown on the plans received by the Building Department October 18, 2011.

723 SOUTH BROADWAY – HOLY SPIRIT ASSOCIATION

The Board reviewed plans for installation of a new light pole at entrance.

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.

“Holy Spirit Association – 723 South Broadway - I have reviewed this application to install a new light pole at the entrance and determined the proposal appears to pose no adverse environmental impact.”

Mr. Carr moved, seconded by Mr. Mignogna and unanimously carried to approve the installation of a new light pole at entrance at 723 South Broadway as shown on the plans received by the Building Department October 19, 2011.

265 CREST DRIVE – FORTUNATO RESIDENCE

Certified mail receipts not received.  Application held over.

435 CARROLLWOOD DRIVE – CARROLLWOOD HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION

The Board reviewed plans to replace existing signage at entrance.

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.

Mr. Mignogna moved, seconded by Mr. Carr and unanimously carried to approve signage replacement at 435 Carrollwood Drive as shown on the plans received by the Building Department October 21, 2011.

13-15 NEPERAN ROAD – THE MIGHTY HORSEMAN TATTOO CO.

The Board reviewed plans for a new window sign.

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.

Mr. Carr moved, seconded by Mr. Mignogna and unanimously carried to approve a new window sign (white letters and maximum diameter of 30”) at 13-15 Neperan Road as shown on the plans received by the Building Department November 14, 2011.

50 DEERTRACK LANE – GOLD RESIDENCE

Mr. Emilio Escalades, architect, reviewed with the Board plans for the removal of damaged and leaking flat roof with unsafe railings and replace with new 3 on 12 roof to match house.

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.

“Gold Residence – 50 Deertrack Lane - I have reviewed this application for the removal of damaged and leaking flat roof with unsafe railings and replacement with new 3 on 12 roof to match the house and determined that the proposal appears to pose no adverse environmental impact.”

Mr. Mignogna moved, seconded by Mr. Carr and unanimously carried to approve the removal of damaged and leaking flat roof with unsafe railings and replace with new 3 on 12 roof to match house at 50 Deertrack Lane as shown on the plans received by the Building Department October 26, 2011.

6 ROUNDABEND ROAD – BAZDEKIS RESIDENCE

The Board reviewed plans for installation of a generator.

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.

“Bazdekis Residence – 6 Roundabend Road - I have reviewed this application to install a generator and determined that the proposal appears to pose no adverse environmental impact.”

Mr. Carr moved, seconded by Mr. Mignogna and unanimously carried to approve the installation of a generator at 6 Roundabend Road as shown on the plans received by the Building Department November 2, 2011.

51 NORTH BROADWAY – CVS PHARMACY

The Board reviewed plans for color change to front façade.

Discussion followed.  The Board members asked that the applicant return to the December 21, 2011 ARB meeting with color samples.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Mr. Carr moved, seconded by Mr. Mignogna and unanimously carried that the minutes of the Architectural Review Board Board’s September 21, 2011 meeting be approved as submitted. ~Ms. Pinckney abstained.  Motion carried.

Mr. Carr moved, seconded by Mr. Mignogna and unanimously carried that the minutes of the Architectural Review Board Board’s October 19, 2011 meeting be approved as submitted. ~Motion carried.

The minutes of the August meeting will be approved at the December 21, 2011 meeting.
