                                                        June 17, 2009   8 p.m.

PRESENT:        Acting Chairman Mignogna; Members, Mrs. Byrnes, Ms. Lambert and Ms. Pinckney

ABSENT: Mr. Perry and Mr. Carr

GRANT RESIDENCE – 167 BENEDICT AVENUE

The Board reviewed plans to replace existing sign.

Acting Chairman Mignogna questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.

Ms. Pinckney moved, seconded by Mrs. Byrnes and unanimously carried to approve the replacement of existing sign at 167 Benedict Avenue as shown on the plans dated April 15, 2009 marked “Type A”.

GREENBERG RESIDENCE – 82 BARNES ROAD

The Board reviewed plans for the construction of a new 12 foot addition in the front of the house.

Acting Chairman Mignogna questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.

“Greenberg Residence – 82 Barnes Road - I have reviewed this application for a new 12 ft. addition in front of the house and determined the proposal appears to pose no significant adverse environmental impact.”

Mrs. Byrnes moved, seconded by Ms. Lambert and unanimously carried to approve the construction of a new 12 foot addition in the front of the house at 82 Barnes Road as shown on the plans received by the Building Department May 5, 2009 and June 17, 2009 subject to Zoning Board Approval.

ALMONTE RESIDENCE – 197 PROSPECT AVENUE

The Board reviewed plans for new playground equipment.

Acting Chairman Mignogna questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.

“Almonte Residence – 197 Prospect Avenue - I have reviewed this application for a new swing set and determine the proposal appears to pose no significant adverse environmental impact.”

Mrs. Byrnes moved, seconded by Ms. Lambert and unanimously carried to approve new playground equipment at 197 Prospect Avenue as shown on the plans received by the Building Department May 8, 2009 subject to compliance with zoning requirements.

FLORES RESIDENCE – 127 HIGHLAND AVENUE

The Board reviewed plans to replace existing 4 foot high fence with a 6 foot high fence and installation of a 3 foot high aluminum fence inside existing evergreens and cedars.

Acting Chairman Carr questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.

“Flores Residence – 127 Highland Avenue - I have reviewed this application to replace existing 4 ft. high fence with a 6 ft. high fence and installation of a 3 ft. high aluminum fence inside existing evergreens and cedars and determined the proposals appear to pose no significant adverse environmental impact.”

Ms. Pinckney moved, seconded by Mrs. Byrnes and unanimously carried to approve a 6 foot high fence and installation of a 3 foot high aluminum fence inside existing evergreens and cedars at 127 Highland Avenue as shown on the plans received by the Building Department May 20, 2009 subject to approval by the Police Department.  

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Ms. Lambert moved, seconded by Mrs. Byrnes and unanimously carried that the minutes of the Architectural Review Board Board’s May 20, 2009 meeting be approved as submitted.  Ms. Pinckney abstained.  Motion carried.
