PRESENT:        Chairman Perry; Members, Mrs. Byrnes, Mr. Mignogna and Ms. Pinckney

ABSENT: Mr. Carr and Ms. Lambert

DAVEY RESIDENCE – 2 DEERTRACK LANE

The Board reviewed plans for installation of drainage structure along northerly property line and a new walkway.

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.

“Davey Residence – 2 Deertrack Lane - I have reviewed this application for installation of drainage structure along the northerly property line and determined the proposal appears to pose no significant adverse environmental impact, subject to the drainage structure being entirely on the applicant’s property.”

Mr. Mignogna moved, seconded by Mrs. Byrnes and unanimously carried to approve the installation of drainage structure along northerly property line and new walkway at 2 Deertrack Lane as shown on the plans received by the Building Department January 6, 2009 and survey submitted on February 18, 2009.

GOMORY/HANSON RESIDENCE – 68 LEROY AVENUE

Ms. Dorota Szwem, architect, reviewed with the Board plans to erect a new 2nd floor addition, demolition of existing connector, build new connector and addition of front deck and rear deck.

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
Kenneth Walpuck – 60 Leroy Avenue – concern with drainage on his mothers property from 68 Leroy Avenue.

“Gomory/Hanson Residence – 68 Leroy Avenue - I have reviewed this application to erect a new second floor addition, demolition of existing connector, construction of new connector and addition of front and back decks and determined the proposals appear to pose no significant adverse environmental impact.”

Mr. Mignogna moved, seconded by Mrs. Byrnes and unanimously carried to approve the erection of a new 2nd floor addition, demolition of existing connector, building a new connector and addition of front deck and rear deck at 68 Leroy

Avenue as shown on the revised plans received by the Building Department January 21, 2009 and revised drawings submitted on February 18, 2009.

CASSANO’S PIZZA & TRATTORIA – 21 NORTH BROADWAY

The Board reviewed plans of a new sign, awning and new store front in the Broadway Sign District.

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.

“Cassano’s Pizza & Trattoria – 21 North Broadway - I have reviewed the proposal for an awning and new store front and determined the proposals appear to pose no significant adverse environmental impact.”

Ms. Pinckney moved, seconded by Mr. Mignogna and unanimously carried to approve a new sign, awning and new store front in the Broadway Sign District at 21 North Broadway as shown on the plans received by the Building Department February 6, 2009 subject to removing the phone number and “Cassano’s” from the awning and replacing with the number “21” on both corners of the awning.  

DWYER AND VANDERBILT FUNERAL HOME – 90 NORTH BROADWAY

The Board reviewed plans to replace existing freestanding sign in the Broadway Sign District.

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.

Mr. Mignogna moved, seconded by Mrs. Byrnes and unanimously carried to approve the replacement of existing freestanding sign in the Broadway Sign District with black/dark gray background, white letters and black border and posts at 90 North Broadway as shown on the plans received by the Building Department January 27, 2009 subject to submitting sample of black/dark gray sign panel for ARB approval.

EF INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL – 100 MARYMOUNT AVENUE

Mr. Michael Molinelli, architect, reviewed with the Board plans for the change in windows to smaller egress windows for new dorm rooms.

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.

determined the proposal appears to pose no significant adverse environmental impact.”

Mrs. Byrnes moved, seconded by Mr. Mignogna and unanimously carried to approve the change in windows to smaller egress windows for new dorm rooms at 100 Marymount Avenue as shown on the plans received by the Building Department January 28, 2009.  

STASSA RESIDENCE – 2 EMERALD WOODS

The Board reviewed plans for a new swing set.

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.

“Stassa Residence – 2 Emerald Woods - I have reviewed this proposal for a new swing set and determined the proposal appears to pose no significant adverse environmental impact.”

Mr. Mignogna moved, seconded by Mrs. Byrnes and unanimously carried to approve a new swing set at 2 Emerald Woods as shown on the plans received by the Building Department January 28, 2009.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
                
Mrs. Byrnes moved, seconded by Mr. Mignogna and unanimously carried that the minutes of the Architectural Review Board’s January 14, 2009, be approved as submitted.  Motion carried.

Mrs. Byrnes moved, seconded by Mr. Mignogna and unanimously carried that the minutes of the Architectural Review Board’s January 21, 2009, be approved as submitted.  Motion carried.

Mr. Mignogna moved, seconded by Mrs. Byrnes and unanimously carried that the minutes of the Planning Board/Architectural Review Board’s January 26, 2009, be approved as submitted.  Motion carried.
