PRESENT: Chairman Perry; Members, Mr. Carr, Mrs. Byrnes, Mr. Mignogna, Ms. Lambert and Ms. Pinckney
VILLAGE OF BRIARCLIFF MANOR – 399 NEPERAN ROAD
Ms. Wendy Sperduto, Engineer, reviewed with the Board plans for a new Pump Station at the Tarrytown Lakes.
Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.
“Village of Briarcliff Manor – 399 Neperan Road - Briarcliff Manor was lead agency on this application and made a determination the proposal would pose no adverse environmental impacts.”
Mr. Mignogna moved, seconded by Mrs. Byrnes and unanimously carried to approve a new pump station at 399 Neperan Road as shown on the plans received by the Building Department January 21, 2009 with the following conditions:
- Cast stone header above the west side garage door and entrance door and the entrance door on the south side;
- Mortar Leigh BDN685, brick Jumbo Queen Sport Blend A;
- Concave tool joint on building;
- Sign: maximum 6’ wide by 2’ high with “Village of Briarcliff Manor” on line one and “Pumping Station” on line two and the elimination of Village of Briarcliff Manor’s seal;
- Fence: 6' high green aluminum decorative fence in the front yard, including the sliding gate - 2-22' long, 6' high, with 10’ returns on both sides and the remainder of the fence to be green chain link;
- Deer fencing to be installed and maintained for a period of one year;
- Installation of goose exclusion fence;
- Addition of small landscape berm along the road in front of the building;
- Lighting: 2-12’ poles with incandescent lighting with activated sensor, 5 light fixtures on the building with a maximum 1’ candle. All lighting fixtures subject to submission of cut sheets from the project engineer to Architectural Review Board for approval.
DOUBLETREE HOTEL – 455 SOUTH BROADWAY
No one appeared on behalf of the applicant.
HUDSON HARBOR – 129 WEST MAIN STREET
No one appeared on behalf of the applicant.
EF INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL – 100 MARYMOUNT AVENUE
The Board reviewed plans to replace four (4) existing signs.
Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
Helen Siebert – 92 Rosehill Avenue – supports the new signage proposed.
Mr. Mignogna moved, seconded by Ms. Lambert and unanimously carried to approve the replacement of four existing signs at 100 Marymount Avenue as shown on the revised plans received by the Building Department January 21, 2009 subject to submitting sample of the sign panel for approval.
LAURO RESIDENCE – 84 ROSEHILL AVENUE
The Board reviewed plans for the installation of a four foot high picket fence.
Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
Helen Siebert – 92 Rosehill Avenue – supports the installation of a four foot high picket fence.
Dr. Robert M. Johnson – 8 Fairview Avenue – supports the installation of a four foot high picket fence.
“Lauro Residence – 84 Rosehill Avenue - I have reviewed this application for installation of a four foot high picket fence and determined the proposal appears to pose no significant adverse environmental impact.”
Ms. Lambert moved, seconded by Mr. Carr and unanimously carried to approve a four foot high picket fence at 84 Rosehill Avenue as shown on the plans received by the Building Department December 5, 2008.
HUGHES LAW OFFICES – 181 SOUTH BROADWAY
The Board reviewed plans to install a new free standing sign in the Broadway Sign District.
Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.
Mr. Mignogna moved, seconded by Ms. Lambert and unanimously carried to approve a new free standing sign in the Broadway Sign District at 181 South Broadway as shown on the plans received by the Building Department December 11, 2008.
DAVEY RESIDENCE – 2 DEERTRACK LANE
Applicant requested an adjournment.
THE REFORMED CHURCH OF THE TARRYTOWNS – 42 NORTH BROADWAY
The Board reviewed plans to install a new free standing sign in the Broadway Sign District.
Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.
Mr. Carr moved, seconded by Mrs. Byrnes and unanimously carried to approve a new free standing sign in the Broadway Sign District at 42 North Broadway as shown on the plans received by the Building Department December 29, 2008.
ON TRACK SPORT CENTER – 29 SOUTH DEPOT PLAZA
The Board reviewed plans for installation of an awning sign over entry door.
Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.
Mrs. Byrnes moved, seconded by Mr. Carr and unanimously carried to approve an awning sign over entry door at 29 South Depot Plaza as shown on the plans received by the Building Department January 21, 2009.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The minutes of the Architectural Review Board’s January 14, 2009 and January 21, 2009 to be approved at the February 18, 2009 Architectural Review Board meeting.
