PRESENT:        Acting Chairman Mr. Carr; Members, Mrs. Byrnes, Ms. Lambert and Ms. Pinckney

ABSENT: Chairman Perry and Mr. Mignogna

JONES RESIDENCE – 15 DEERTRACK LANE

The Board reviewed plans for the removal of greenhouse roof and windows, extend one wall to replace/repair rotted wall and window.

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.

Chairman Perry reported receipt of the following memo dated October 22, 2008, from Michael Blau, Environmental Review Officer:

“Jones Residence – 15 Deertrack Lane - I have reviewed this application for removal of greenhouse roof and windows, extension of one wall to replace/repair rotted wall and window, enclosure of screened porch in rear of house and redesign of roof to eliminate leaks and determined the proposals appear to pose no significant adverse environmental impact.”

Ms. Lambert moved, seconded by Mrs. Byrnes and unanimously carried to approve the removal of greenhouse roof and windows, extend one wall to replace/repair rotted wall and window at 15 Deertrack Lane as shown on the plans received by the Building Department August 20, 2008.  

MALONE RESIDENCE – 170 CREST DRIVE

The Board reviewed plans for the removal and replacement of siding.

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.

Chairman Perry reported receipt of the following memo dated October 22, 2008, from Michael Blau, Environmental Review Officer:

“Malone Residence – 170 Crest Drive - I have reviewed this application for removal and replacement of house siding and determined the proposal appears to pose no significant adverse environmental impact.”

Mrs. Byrnes moved, seconded by Ms. Lambert and unanimously carried to approve the removal and replacement of siding at 170 Crest Drive as shown on the plans received by the Building Department August 29, 2008.

KRIEGER RESIDENCE – 29 SHELDON AVENUE

The Board reviewed plans for the removal and replacement of existing siding.

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appreared.

Chairman Perry reported receipt of the following memo dated October 22, 2008, from Michael Blau, Environmental Review Officer:

“Krieger Residence – 29 Sheldon Avenue - I have reviewed this application for removal and replacement of house siding and determined the proposal appears to pose no significant adverse environmental impact.”

Ms. Pinckney moved, seconded by Ms. Lambert and unanimously carried to approve the removal and replacement of existing siding at 29 Sheldon Avenue as shown on the plans received by the Building Department November 15, 2006 and September 15, 2008.

FARRUGGIO RESIDENCE – 85 NORTH WASHINGTON STREET

Mr. Sam Vieira, architect, reviewed plans to remove existing front porch down to existing brick piers and rebuild.

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appreared.

Chairman Perry reported receipt of the following memo dated October 22, 2008, from Michael Blau, Environmental Review Officer:

“Farruggio Residence – 85 North Washington Street - I have reviewed this application to remove existing front porch down to the existing brick piers and to rebuild the porch and determined the proposal appears to pose no significant adverse environmental impact.”

Ms. Lambert moved, seconded by Mrs. Byrnes and unanimously carried to approve the removal of existing front porch down to existing brick piers and rebuilding front porch at 85 North Washington Street as shown on the plans received by the Building Department October 1, 2008.

DOUBLETREE HOTEL – 455 SOUTH BROADWAY

The Board reviewed plans to install one 27” by 20’ by 6’ wall sign and 6’ by 6’ logo on the front façade in the Broadway Sign District.

The application was held over until the November 19, 2008 meeting so the applicant can return with new drawings.

LEGENDS REALTY GROUP – 37 MAIN STREET

The Board reviewed plans to replace existing sign with new wall sign in the Main Street Historic District.

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.

Ms. Pinckney moved, seconded by Mrs. Byrnes and unanimously carried to issue “Certificate of Appropriateness” for the replacement of existing sign with new wall sign in the Main Street Historic District at 37 Main Street as shown on the plans received by the Building Department September 15, 2008.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
                
Mr. Carr moved, seconded by Mr. Mignogna and unanimously carried that the minutes of the Architectural Review Board’s September 17, 2008, be approved as submitted.  Motion carried.
