PRESENT:        Chairman Perry; Members, Ms. Lambert, Mr. Carr, Mrs. Byrnes and Ms. Pinckney

ABSENT:         Members, Mr. Mignogna

FIXELL/HUDSON RESIDENCE – 117 NO. WASHINGTON STREET

Applicant requested an adjournment.

GRANT RESIDENCE – 69 CHURCH STREET

No one appeared on behalf of the applicant.  

MOSCA RESIDENCE – 23 DIXON STREET

No one appeared on behalf of the applicant.

KAUFMAN TARRYTOWN CO., LLC FOR TARRYTOWN STATIONARY – 35 NORTH BROADWAY

The Board reviewed plans for an illuminated wall sign in the Broadway Sign District.

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.

Ms. Lambert moved, seconded by Mr. Carr and unanimously carried to approve an illuminated wall sign at 35 North Broadway as shown on the plans received by the Building Department January 25, 2008 subject to the removal of additional signage.

KAUFMAN TARRYTOWN CO., LLC FOR THE VILLAGE CRIMPER – 39 NORTH BROADWAY

The Board reviewed plans for an illuminated wall sign in the Boardway Sign District.

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.

Mr. Carr moved, seconded by Ms. Lambert and unanimously carried to approve an illuminated wall sign at 39 North Broadway as shown on the plans received by the Building Department January 25, 2008.  

COCO MANAGEMENT FOR A&E STORES/PAY HALF – 39 NORTH BROADWAY

The Board reviewed plans for a replacement awning with painted lettering in the Broadway Sign District.

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.

Ms. Lambert moved, seconded by Mrs. Byrnes and unanimously carried to approve a replacement awning with painted lettering in the Broadway Sign District at 39 North Broadway as shown on the plans received by the Building Department January 25, 2008.

HANES RESIDENCE – 90 HIGHLAND AVENUE

The Board reviewed plans for new windows, roof, siding and a new entrance roofed porch.    

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.

Chairman Perry reported receipt of the following memo dated March 19, 2008, from Kathleen D’Eufemia, Designated Environmental Review Officer:

“Hanes Residence – 90 Highland Avenue - I have reviewed this application for new windows, roof, siding and a new entrance roofed porch and determined the proposals appear to pose no significant adverse environmental impact.”

Mr. Carr moved, seconded by Ms. Lambert and unanimously carried to approve new windows, roof, siding and a new entrance roofed porch at 90 Highland Avenue as shown on the plans received by the Building Department February 28, 2008.

GASPERINI PROPERTY – 4 SOUTH WASHINGTON STREET

The Board reviewed plans to repaint the building with a change in color.      

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.

Chairman Perry reported receipt of the following memo dated March 19, 2008, from Kathleen D’Eufemia, Designated Environmental Review Officer:

“Gasperini Property – 4 South Washington Street - I have reviewed this application to repaint the building with a change in color and determined the proposal appears to pose no significant adverse environmental impact.”

Mrs. Byrnes moved, seconded by Ms. Lambert and unanimously carried to approve repainting of the building with a change in color at 4 South Washington Street as shown on the plans received by the Building Department February 28, 2008.

WHITE RESIDENCE – 67 SHELDON AVENUE

The Board reviewed plans for replacement of front porch, steps, railings and hardwood columns.      

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.

Chairman Perry reported receipt of the following memo dated March 19, 2008, from Kathleen D’Eufemia, Designated Environmental Review Officer:

“White Residence – 67 Sheldon Avenue - I have reviewed this application for replacement of front porch, steps, railings and hardwood columns and determined the proposal appears to pose no adverse environmental impacts.”

Ms. Pinckney moved, seconded by Mr. Carr and unanimously carried to approve replacement of front porch, steps, railings and hardwood columns at 67 Sheldon Avenue as shown on the plans received by the Building Department February 21, 2008.

MERHEB RESIDENCE – 35 FAIRVIEW AVENUE

No one appeared on behalf of the applicant.

VERCESI RESIDENCE – 19 BARNES ROAD

The Board reviewed plans for a shed on the right side of property, privacy fence along a portion of the rear yard, replacement of garage door and removal of second garage door and replacement with an entry door.      

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.

Chairman Perry reported receipt of the following memo dated March 19, 2008, from Kathleen D’Eufemia, Designated Environmental Review Officer:

“Vercesi Residence – 19 Barnes Road - I have reviewed this application for a shed on the right side of the property; a privacy fence along a portion of the rear yard; replacement of garage door; removal of second garage door and replacement with an entry door and determined the proposals appear to pose no significant adverse environmental impact.”

Ms. Lambert moved, seconded by Mr. Carr and unanimously carried to approve a shed on the right side of property, privacy fence along a portion of the rear yard, replacement of garage door and removal of second garage door and replacement with an entry door at 19 Barnes Road as shown on the plans received by the Building Department February 29, 2008.

GRACEMERE ESTATES, LLC – 2 EMERALD WOODS

The Board reviewed plans for change from brick to cut stone on chimney and apron of front porch.      

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.

Chairman Perry reported receipt of the following memo dated March 19, 2008, from Kathleen D’Eufemia, Designated Environmental Review Officer:

“Gracemere Estates, LLC. – 2 Emerald Woods - I have reviewed this application to amend ARB approval for change from brick to cut stone on chimney and apron of front porch and find the proposal appears to pose no significant adverse environmental impact.”

Mr. Carr moved, seconded by Ms. Lambert and unanimously carried to approve a change from brick to cut stone on chimney and apron of front porch at 2 Emerald Woods as shown on the plans received by the Building Department March 6, 2008.

SAMPAIO RESIDENCE – 39 STORM STREET

Mr. Sam Vieira, architect, reviewed with the Board plans to replace existing masonry/concrete wall and steps with new stone finish at front entrance.      

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.

Chairman Perry reported receipt of the following memo dated March 19, 2008, from Kathleen D’Eufemia, Designated Environmental Review Officer:

“Sampaio Residence – 39 Storm Street - I have reviewed this application to replace existing masonry/concrete wall and steps with new stone finish at front entrance and determined the proposal appears to pose no significant adverse environmental impact.”

Mrs. Byrnes moved, seconded by Ms. Lambert and unanimously carried to approve replacing existing masonry/concrete wall and steps with new stone finish at front entrance at 39 Storm Street as shown on the plans received by the Building Department March 13, 2008.
