CHASE BANK – 64 NORTH BROADWAY
The Board reviewed plans for multiple signs in the Broadway Sign District.
Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.
Mr. Carr moved, seconded by Mrs. Byrnes and unanimously carried to issue a “Certificate of Appropriateness” and sign variance for multiple signs at 64 North Broadway as shown on the plans received by the Building Department
February 8, 2007.
NAVARRO RESIDENCE – 27 NEPERAN ROAD
The Board reviewed plans to install a six foot high stockade fence in the rear portion of the property.
Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.
Chairman Perry reported receipt of the following memo dated February 21, 2007, from Kathleen D’Eufemia, Designated Environmental Review Officer:
“Navarro Residence – 27 Neperan Road - I have reviewed this application to install a 6 foot high stockade fence in the rear portion of the property and find the proposal appears to pose no adverse environmental impact.”
Ms. Lambert moved, seconded by Mrs. Byrnes and unanimously carried to install a six foot high stockade fence in the rear portion of the property at 27 Neperan Road as shown on the plans received by the Building Department January 9, 2007.
THE CLOTHES DOCTOR – 1 DIVISION STREET
The Board reviewed plans to change the color of the awning sign from red to red and white stripes.
Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.
Mrs. Byrnes moved, seconded by Ms. Lambert and unanimously carried to approve the change in color of the awning sign from red to red and white stripes at 1 Division Street as shown on the plans received by the Building Department December 29, 2006.
NIEVES RESIDENCE – 20 JOHN STREET
The Board reviewed plans for a new stone retaining wall at the front of the property.
Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.
Chairman Perry reported receipt of the following memo dated February 21, 2007, from Kathleen D’Eufemia, Designated Environmental Review Officer:
“Nieves Residence – 20 John Street - I have reviewed this application for a new stone retaining wall at the front of the property and find the proposal appears to pose no adverse environmental impact.”
Ms. Lambert moved, seconded by Mrs. Byrnes and unanimously carried to approve a new stone retaining wall at the front of the property at 20 John Street as shown on the plans received by the Building Department January 3, 2007.
MCVIEGH RESIDENCE – 31 BIRCH WAY
Ms. Susan Riordan, architect, reviewed with the Board plans for a second floor addition and a four foot by six foot vestibule addition to the front of the house.
Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.
Chairman Perry reported receipt of the following memo dated February 21, 2007, from Kathleen D’Eufemia, Designated Environmental Review Officer:
“McViegh Residence – 31 Birch Way - I have reviewed this application for a second floor addition and a 4 ft. by 6 ft. vestibule addition to the front of the house and find the proposals appear to pose no adverse environmental impact.”
Ms. Lambert moved, seconded by Mrs. Byrnes and unanimously carried to approve a second floor addition and a four foot by six foot vestibule addition to the front of the house at 31 Birch Way as shown on the plans received by the Building Department January 26, 2007.
EDIBLE ARRANGEMENTSS – 25 MAIN STREET
The Board reviewed plans to erect an awning sign on the front of the property in the Main Street Historic District.
Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.
Ms. Lambert moved, seconded by Mrs. Byrnes and unanimously carried to issue a “Certificate of Appropriateness” and sign variance to erect an awning sign on the front of the property in the Main Street Historic District at 25 Main Street as shown on the plans received by the Building Department January 29, 2007.
IRIS NAILS – 350 SOUTH BROADWAY
The Board reviewed plans for a new channel letter sign in the Broadway Sign District.
Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.
Mr. Carr moved, seconded by Ms. Lambert and unanimously carried to issue a “Certificate of Appropriateness” and sign variance for a new channel letter sign in the Broadway Sign District at 350 South Broadway as shown on the plans received by the Building Department January 30, 2007.
HSA-UWC – 723 SOUTH BROADWAY
Mr. Earl Ferguson, architect, reviewed with the Board plans for a new building approximately 40,000 square feet for a Church Sanctuary, Sunday School classrooms and Church offices.
Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
Mrs. Getz discussed her concerns about the view from her carriage house.
Chairman Perry reported receipt of the following memo dated February 21, 2007, from Kathleen D’Eufemia, Designated Environmental Review Officer:
“HSA-UWC – 723 South Broadway - This application for a new church with classroom and office space was reviewed by the Planning Board and a determination was made that the proposal poses no significant adverse environmental impact.”
Mr. Carr moved, seconded by Mrs. Byrnes and unanimously carried to approve scheme “A” design plans for a new building approximately 40,000 square feet for a Church Sanctuary, Sunday School classrooms and Church offices at 723 South Broadway as shown on the plans received by the Building Department February 21, 2007 subject to approval of landscaping plans, exterior lighting and paving.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Mrs. Byrnes moved, seconded by Ms. Lambert and unanimously carried that the minutes of the Architectural Review Board’s January 17, 2007, be approved as submitted. Motion carried.
