Village of Tarrytown
Regular Meeting
January 17, 2007                8 p.m.

PRESENT:        Chairman Perry; Members, Ms. Lambert, Mr. Carr, Mrs. Byrnes and
Mr. Mignogna

ABSENT:         Members, Ms. Pinckney

ALL IN THE FAMILY MOVING & STORAGE – 28 SOUTH DEPOT PLAZA

The Board reviewed plans for a metal wall sign.

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.

Mr. Carr moved, seconded by Mr. Mignogna and unanimously carried to issue a sign variance for three signs at 28 South Depot Plaza as shown on the plans received by the Building Department January 17, 2007.

CHASE BANK – 64 NORTH BROADWAY

The Board reviewed plans for multiple signs in the Boardway Sign District.  The Board requested that the applicant review their submission further and eliminate some signage.  

The Board agreed to place the above project on the February 21, 2007 ARB agenda.

SANTA FE RESTAURANT – 5 MAIN STREET

The Board reviewed plans for a replacement wall sign in the Main Street Historic District.

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.

Ms. Lambert moved, seconded by Mrs. Byrnes and unanimously carried to issue a “Certificate of Appropriateness” for a replacement wall sign in the Main Street Historic District  at 5 Main Street as shown on the plans received by the Building Department December 12, 2006.

EYEBUZZ DESIGN – 15 KALDENBERG PLACE

The Board reviewed plans for a two sided perpendicular sign.

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.

Mrs. Byrnes moved, seconded by Ms. Lambert and unanimously carried to approve a two sided perpendicular sign at 15 Kaldenberg Place as shown on the plans received by the Building Department December 15, 2006.

FALASCA RESIDENCE – 123 NORTH WASHINGTON STREET

The Board reviewed plans for installation of new vinyl siding and replacement windows throughout the entire house.

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.

Chairman Perry reported receipt of the following memo dated January 17, 2007, from Kathleen D’Eufemia, Designated Environmental Review Officer:

“Falasca Residence – 123 North Washington Street - I have reviewed this application for installation of new vinyl siding and replacement windows throughout the house and find the proposals pose no adverse environmental impact.”

Ms. Lambert moved, seconded by Mrs. Byrnes and unanimously carried to approve installation of new vinyl siding and replacement windows throughout the entire house at 123 North Washington Street as shown on the plans received by the Building Department December 20, 2006.

GOTTSCHALL RESIDENCE – 80 SUNNYSIDE AVENUE

The Board reviewed plans to remove one window and fill in with exterior siding and removal of a portion of a second window and fill in with exterior siding.  

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.  

Chairman Perry reported receipt of the following memo dated January 17, 2007, from Kathleen D’Eufemia, Designated Environmental Review Officer:

“Gottschall Residence – 80 Sunnyside Avenue – I have reviewed this application to remove one window and fill in with exterior siding and removal of a portion of a second window and fill in with exterior siding and find the proposals pose no adverse environmental impact.”

Mr. Mignogna moved, seconded by Mrs. Byrnes and unanimously carried to approve the removal of one window and fill in with exterior siding and removal of a portion of a second window and fill in with exterior siding at 80 Sunnyside Avenue as shown on the plans received by the Building Department December 22, 2006.  

CORTESE CONSTRUCTION – 91 DEERTRACK LANE

Mr. Sam Vieira, architect, reviewed with the Board plans to amend previous ARB approval for a change in roof line and front elevation.    

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.

Chairman Perry reported receipt of the following memo dated January 17, 2007, from Kathleen D’Eufemia, Designated Environmental Review Officer:

“Cortese Construction – 91 Deertrack Lane – I have reviewed this application to amend previous ARB approval for roof line and front elevation and find the amendments pose no adverse environmental impact.”

Mr. Mignogna moved, seconded by Mr. Carr and unanimously carried to approve change in roof line and front elevation at 91 Deertrack Lane as shown on the plans received by the Building Department January 12, 2007.

HAS-UWC – 723 SOUTH BROADWAY

Mr. Earl Ferguson, architect, discussed a preliminary review of design development for construction of a new building for Church Sanctuary, Sunday School classrooms and Church offices.

The Board agreed to place the above project on the February 21, 2007 ARB agenda.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
                
Mrs. Byrnes moved, seconded by Mr. Carr and unanimously carried that the minutes of the Architectural Review Board’s December 13, 2006, be approved as submitted.  Motion carried.
