Regular Meeting
December 13, 2006               8 p.m.

PRESENT:        Chairman Perry; Members, Ms. Lambert, Mr. Carr, Mrs. Byrnes and
Mr. Mignogna

ABSENT:         Members, Ms. Pinckney

ALL IN THE FAMILY MOVING & STORAGE – 28 SOUTH DEPOT PLAZA

Application held over until January 17, 2007 meeting.  Applicant asked to provide pictures and/or drawings including size of sign and letters.

ZAMDMER RESIDENCE – 15 CROTON AVENUE

The Board reviewed plans for renovation of an existing front porch.

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.

Chairman Perry reported receipt of the following memo dated December 13, 2006, from Kathleen D’Eufemia, Designated Environmental Review Officer:
        
“Zamdmer Residence – 15 Croton Avenue – I have reviewed this application for renovation of an existing front porch and find the proposal poses no adverse environmental impact.”

Mr. Carr moved, seconded by Mrs. Byrnes and unanimously carried to approve the renovation of an existing front porch at 15 Croton Avenue as shown on the plans received by the Building Department October 13, 2006.

LIMONGELLO RESIDENCE – 19 KALDENBERG PLACE

The Board reviewed plans to install a four foot high cedar picket fence with gate at the front of the house and cedar fence on the side of the property.

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.

Chairman Perry reported receipt of the following memo dated December 13, 2006, from Kathleen D’Eufemia, Designated Environmental Review Officer:
        
“Limongello Residence – 19 Kaldenberg Place – I have reviewed this application for installation of a 4 ft. high cedar picket fence with gate at the front of the house and cedar fence on the side of the property and find the proposal poses no adverse environmental impact.”

Mr. Carr moved, seconded by Mrs. Byrnes and unanimously carried to approve the installation of a four foot high cedar picket fence with gate at the front of the house and cedar fence on the side of the property at 19 Kaldenberg Place as shown on the plans received by the Building Department November 13, 2006.

HERITAGE FRAME & PICTURE CO. – 8B MAIN STREET

The Board reviewed plans for an awning sign in the Main Street Historic District.

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.

Ms. Lambert moved, seconded by Mrs. Byrnes and unanimously carried to issue “Certificate of Appropriateness” and sign variance for an awning sign in the Main Street Historic District at 8B Main Street as shown on the plans received by the Building Department November 16, 2006.

TARRYTOWN HONDA – 480 SOUTH BROADWAY

Mr. John Hughes, Jr., attorney, reviewed with the Board plans for five wall signs, one pylon sign and one directional sign in the Broadway Sign District and painting of the building.

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
Residents of Glenwolde Park had concerns with the lighting and number of signs for Tarrytown Honda.

Mr. Carr moved, seconded by Mr. Mignogna and unanimously carried to issue “Certificate of Appropriateness” and sign variance for five wall signs, one pylon sign to be 16’ 4” and one directional sign to be 3 feet illuminated in the Broadway Sign District including painting of the building white with blue, shed painted white with gray roof, service sign to be turned off at 8:00 p.m. and landscaping to be completed by April 2007 at 480 South Broadway as shown on the plans received by the Building Department November 9, 2006.

GLOVER RESIDENCE – 38 MCKEEL AVENUE

The Board reviewed plans to erect a new gate and replace an existing fence and gate.  

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.  

Chairman Perry reported receipt of the following memo dated December 13, 2006, from Kathleen D’Eufemia, Designated Environmental Review Officer:

“Glover Residence – 38 McKeel Avenue – I have reviewed this application to erect a new gate and replace an existing fence and gate and find the proposal poses no significant adverse environmental impact.”

Mrs. Byrnes moved, seconded by Ms. Lambert and unanimously carried to approve a new gate and replace existing fence and gate at 38 McKeel Avenue as shown on the plans received by the Building Department March 2, 2006 and November 16, 2006.

SWIFT RESIDENCE – 15 BIRCH WAY

Mr. Sam Vieira, architect, reviewed with the Board plans to convert existing garage to living space.    

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.

Chairman Perry reported receipt of the following memo dated December 13, 2006, from Kathleen D’Eufemia, Designated Environmental Review Officer:

“Swift Residence – 15 Birch Way – I have reviewed this application to convert existing garage to living space and find the proposal poses no adverse environmental impact.”

Mr. Mignogna moved, seconded by Mrs. Byrnes and unanimously carried to approve converting the existing garage to living space at 15 Birch Way as shown on the plans received by the Building Department November 27, 2006.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
                
Mr. Carr moved, seconded by Ms. Lambert and unanimously carried that the minutes of the Architectural Review Board’s November 15, 2006, be approved as submitted.  Mr. Mignogna, and Mrs. Byrnes abstained.  Motion carried.
