ABSENT: Mr. Mignogna and Ms. Pinckney

GLOVER RESIDENCE – 38 MCKEEL AVENUE

Applicant adjourned.  

WAYNE RESIDENCE – 38 PINTAIL ROAD

Ms. Bana Choura, architect, reviewed with the Board plans for a one-story detached two-car garage.        

Zoning Board approval received April 10, 2006.
Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.

Chairman Perry reported receipt of the following memo dated April 13, 2006, from Kathleen D’Eufemia, Designated Environmental Review Officer:

“Wayne – 38 Pintail Road - I have reviewed this application for a one-story detached two-car garage and determined the proposal poses no adverse environmental impact.”

Mr. Carr moved, seconded by Mrs. Byrnes and unanimously carried to approve a one-story detached two-car garage at 38 Pintail Road as shown on the plans received by the Building Department March 13, 2006.

MI BOHIO RESTAURANT – 12 MAIN STREET

JARDIM ESTATES SUBDIVISION – HSA-UWC – SOUTH BROADWAY (LOT 11)

Mr. Justin Minieri, architect, reviewed with the Board plans to install new windows, new roof shingles, paint exterior trim and stucco.

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.

Chairman Perry reported receipt of the following memo dated April 13, 2006, from Kathleen D’Eufemia, Designated Environmental Review Officer:

“Jardim Estates – South Broadway – Lot 11 - I have reviewed this application for new windows, new roof shingles and painting of the exterior trim and stucco and determined the proposals appear to pose no adverse environmental impact.”

Ms. Lambert moved, seconded by Mr. Carr and unanimously carried to approve installation of new windows, new roof shingles, paint exterior trim and stucco at South Broadway, Lot 11, Jardim Estates Subdivision as shown on the plans received by the Building Department March 13, 2006.

RATLIFF RESIDENCE – 97 ALTAMONT AVENUE

Applicant adjourned.   

HOLMES RESIDENCE – 106 RIVERVIEW AVENUE

The Board reviewed plans for replacement windows, removal of siding and repainting of the house.

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.  No one appeared.

Chairman Perry reported receipt of the following memo dated April 13, 2006, from Kathleen D’Eufemia, Designated Environmental Review Officer:

“Holmes – 106 Riverview Avenue - I have reviewed this application for replacement windows, removal of siding and repainting of the house and determined the proposals pose no adverse environmental impact.”

Mrs. Byrnes moved, seconded by Ms. Lambert and unanimously carried to approve replacement windows, removal of siding and repainting of the house at 106 Riverview Avenue as shown on the plans received by the Building Department March 17, 2006.

R.E.R. DEVELOPMENT – 122 AND 128 HIGHLAND AVENUE

Mr. Dennis Rubich, architect, reviewed with the Board plans for change in color of the entrance and chimney for contrast and dimension; for shutters on front windows; and breaking up of the stair run.           
 
Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
No one appeared.

Chairman Perry reported receipt of the following memo dated April 13, 2006, from Kathleen D’Eufemia, Designated Environmental Review Officer:

“R.E.R. Development – 122 and 128 Highland Avenue - I have reviewed this application to change the color of the entrance and chimney for contrast and dimension; for shutters on the front windows; and for breaking up the stair run and determined the proposals pose no adverse environmental impact.”

Ms. Lambert moved, seconded by Mrs. Byrnes and unanimously carried to approve change in color of the entrance and chimney for contrast and dimension; for shutters on front windows; and breaking up of the stair run at 122 and 128 Highland Avenue as shown on the plans received by the Building Department March 20, 2006.

TASTE OF CHINA – 17 MAIN STREET

The Board reviewed plans for replacement of two awning signs and new perpendicular sign in the Main Street Historic District.  

Chairman Perry questioned whether anyone wished to address the Board on this matter.
Mr. Ringeisen had concerns regarding the size of the signs.

Ms. Lambert moved, seconded by Mrs. Byrnes and unanimously carried to issued “Certificate of Appropriateness” for replacement of two awning signs and new perpendicular sign in the Main Street Historic District with the elimination of the phone number on the sign facing Main Street and elimination of the writing on the awning facing Kaldenberg Place at 17 Main Street as shown on the plans received by the Building Department March 20, 2006.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Mr. Perry moved, seconded by Mr. Carr and unanimously carried that the minutes of the Planning Board and Architectural Review Board’s March 6, 2006, be approved as submitted.  Motion carried.

The minutes of May 11, 2005, March 15, 2006 and April 19, 2006 to be approved at the May 17, 2006 meeting.
