Director of Facilities Management
The Town of Swampscott is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Director of Facilities Management. Under the direction of both the Town Administrator and the Superintendent of Schools, this position is responsible for the supervision and coordination of activities related to the maintenance, security and care of all Town owned buildings. Duties shall include but are not limited to maintenance, repairs, custodial care, budgeting, capital planning and improvements, energy management and overall buildings and grounds safety. Applicants must have at least five (5) years’ supervisory experience and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with major course work in maintenance or construction management, mechanical engineering, civil engineering or related field. Ten (10) plus years’ experience in various disciplines of
maintenance. Machine shop skills a plus. Certified Construction Manager, Owner’s Project Manager desirable. Knowledge and experience of LEED certification, Digital Direct Control Automation Systems, Johnson Controls Matasys EMS software experience helpful, OSHA certified. Applicant should be familiar with local, state and federal regulations. Valid MA driver’s license required. Salary range $85-90k commensurate with experience.
