INVITATION TO BID
The Town of Swampscott, Massachusetts, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids for the Chlorination Station Improvements Project.
Sealed Bids for the Construction of the Chlorination Station Improvements Project, Town of Swampscott, Massachusetts, will be received at the Department of Public Works, at 22 Monument Avenue, Town Hall, Swampscott, MA, until 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. The bid opening will be held in the first floor conference room of Town Hall.
The work includes the demolition and replacement of a chemical storage tank and related piping, re-pointing of a foundation wall, and appurtenant work. Potential bidders may visit the site located in the VFW Post 1240 parking lot at 8 Pine Street, Swampscott, MA at 10:00 a.m. on November 28, 2012.

Successful bidder must furnish 50 percent Construction Payment Bond. The Surety Company shall be qualified to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and be satisfactory to the Town of Swampscott.
The Town of Swampscott reserves the right to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so. No Bidder may withdraw his/her Bid for a period of thirty days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays, after the actual date of the opening of the Bids.
All work must be completed within ninety (90) calendar days from the Notice to Proceed date.
