Dog License Renewal
Pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws: Chapter 140, Section 137 & the Town of Swampscott General ByLaws: Article V: The owner or keeper of a dog six months or older shall cause it to be registered, numbered, described and licensed annually in the Office of the Town Clerk.
All current dog licenses in Swampscott expire on December 31 and must be renewed each year during the month of January. There is a $5.00 late for anyone registering their dog after February 2, 2008.
The 2008 dog license renewal forms have recently been mailed to all dog owners.
Please follow instructions on the license form and return promptly by mail or in person to the Town Clerk’s office. If you have any questions please call Sue or Connie in the Clerk’s office at 781-596-8855.
If you no longer have the pet, please send written notification to the Clerk’s office.
