Chairman Chizy calls the meeting to order at 7:00 followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
Town Administrator Jim Smith gave a brief overview of the item presented before the Board of Selectmen to appoint Cheryl Ouillette, (Treasurer/Collector) as the custodian to manage property acquired through foreclosures of tax title. This will allow Cheryl to conduct an auction on town owned property at 16 Old Mill Road and 23 Main Street. This is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, November 18th @ 10:00am in the Board of Selectmen’s meeting room. TA Smith advises board that this would eliminate the need to hire an Auctioneer Company which would save the Town of Sutton money.
Selectman Rick Hersom motions to appoint Cheryl Ouillette, Sutton Treasurer and Tax Collector, as the custodian to manage property acquired through the foreclosure of tax titles as stated under MGL 60 § 77B. Selectman John Hebert seconds the motion; all in favor passes 5-0
